For a game that leans on humor, absurdity, and the occasional Stylistic Suck, West of Loathing actually has some really awesome tunes:
- The main theme
has a great "setting out" vibe to it. - The battle theme, "Draw!" is an intense piece that makes the fights all the more hilarious. It also helps that the best parts of the theme, which are much more climactic and dramatic, are only heard further into the tune, meaning that you'll probably only hear them in harder fights.
- The theme for Reckonin' at Gun Manor ("Ecto Perfecto") is a remix of "Draw" that puts a new spin on it.
- Misbehave (In This Cave), theme of the Kurtzfit, mixes disco and banjo, it has to be heard to be believed.
- The "Wild White Yonder" theme that plays on the maps is pretty much everything good about westerns packed into one intense tune. It's so good that it was even used on the game's launch trailer.
