Awesome Music / Rabi-Ribi

Go To

Area Music and Other

  • The main theme is upbeat, whimsical, and sounds like it came straight from the opening of an anime. The alternate title theme and main menu theme are a chiptune version and a more minimalist remix of this song respectively.
  • Adventure Starts Here, the BGM of the Starting Forest, is bursting with positivity and the energy for Erina to start on her quest. Once you get into the dark area, the music changes to Nightwalker, a much more tranquil theme.
  • Home Sweet Home, the town theme, is as chill and cozy as Rabi Rabi Town itself.
  • Miriam's Shop is a quirky and relaxing theme for the kind shopkeeper.
  • Rabi Rabi Park gives off the sense of a bright new beginning.
  • Rabi Rabi Ravine is an upbeat and incredibly catchy string-and-banjo tune that will get stuck in your head easily. When you enter the Windy Ravine, the music does a total turnaround and becomes a menacing tribal-sounding piece laden with oppressive percussion, befitting of the Difficulty Spike of the Windy Ravine.
  • The theme that plays during the Ravine Escape segment is panic in music form, especially as it starts speeding up as time passes.
  • Pandora's Palace perfectly encapsulates the "booby-trapped Egyptian tomb" feel of the place while not feeling too oppressive.
  • Golden Riverbank is simultaneously calming and upbeat, fitting for the combination of exploration and the almost idyllic setting.
  • Evernight Peak is an appropriately tranquil theme for a dark mountain beneath a perpetual moon.
  • Sky-High Bridge is a trance-like electronic song that really gives off the feeling of exploring a windy castle far above the clouds.
  • Winter Wonderland is carefree and catchy, with snowy chimes.
  • Aurora Palace is a surprisingly relaxing theme for exploring the frozen castle amidst the backdrop of a permanent aurora.
  • Icy Summit is a gorgeous piece that makes use of both striking chimes and orchestral elements to make a melancholy and ethereal song for the frozen mountaintop.
  • Natural Aquarium has a very underwater-esque feel to it, but maintains a constant air of danger to represent the hazards beneath the surface.
  • The Exotic Laboratory theme is insanely catchy, somewhat intense, a more techno-ish feel to it, fitting for exploring a mysterious lab housing unfamiliar and otherworldly technology.
  • The System Interior has Cyberspace.exe, an energetic electronic song that sounds like it came straight out of Mega Man. System Interior II on the other hand is far more menacing and intense, representing the transition from cyber-themed level to cyber-themed Platform Hell.
  • Inside UPRPRPC is as menacing as it gets for invading the secret base of a club of obsessive bunny lovers.
  • The Forgotten Cave has a very mysterious and almost foreboding theme for the unknown subterranean area, while Spectral Cave is a more ethereal remix of the aforementioned song that dials the mystery factor up to eleven for the bizarre glowing caverns. Forgotten Cave II gives off a more relaxing and melancholic vibe, ironic considering the Difficulty Spike present in the level.
  • Volcanic Caverns. You can almost feel the oppressive heat.
  • Floating Graveyard has elements of both mystery and darkness, appropriate for a cemetery in the sky. Sky Island Town is a more familiar and nostalgic variant of the Floating Graveyard theme that's surprisingly intense for one of the more benign areas in the game.
  • Plurkwood is bizarre and off-putting, fitting for how Plurkwood itself is an unconventional and almost alien level compared to the rest of the game.
  • Warp Destination, theme of the other world beyond the Stele, is appropriately mysterious and suspenseful for a song that plays when Erina travels to an alternate and unfamiliar dimension...except it isn't.
  • Speicher Galerie is a gorgeous piano remix of "Forgotten Cave II" that feels climactic and almost mournful, setting the backdrop for the final advance towards Irisu through one of the most grueling levels the game has to offer.

Battle Themes

  • The miniboss theme is far more foreboding than most of the boss themes, while the miniboss encounters with the UPRPRPC have a much goofier theme that comically speeds up as you dispatch the hordes of bunny lovers.
  • Get on With It, the first boss theme used for Cocoa, Ribbon, and Ashuri's first battle, is upbeat and whimsical enough to capture the relatively low stakes of the first few bosses, but still conveys the idea that these are the first major challenges in your path.
  • Brawl Breaks, the boss theme of Kotri and Ashuri. Turns out drum and bass goes well with Bullet Hell.
  • Rita has Melting Point, an upbeat song with lots of piano and a killer bassline.
  • The bear twins Nixie and Nieve, as well as Keke Bunny and Seana's endurance battle, have Bounce Bounce, a relatively carefree song that captures the rather playful fights against them.
  • Kitty Attack, which plays during the fights with Chocolate, Vanilla, Seana, or Saya, is incredibly cheery and upbeat.
  • The tech duo Cicini and Syaro have High-Tech Duel, an intense and technological sounding theme fitting for the otherworldly gadgetry they use in their battles.
  • Full On Combat plays in the battles against Pandora, Lilith, and Arurarune. It's blood-pumpingly intense and wouldn't be out of place at a rave, while giving off the impression that these are bosses you aren't supposed to beat very easily.
  • Sudden Death plays whenever fighting Illusion Alius. It's perfect for a sudden encounter with a fast and aggressive Mirror Boss who fights in ways unlike any other.
  • In contrast to most of the boss music, Miru's theme M.R. is dark, oppressive, and foreboding, matching how Erina is trapped with a possessed Miru in a Room Full of Crazy and forced to contend with a very difficult dark boss. The song gradually speeds up as Miru takes damage, which only adds to the frantic atmosphere.
  • The Truth Never Spoken, which plays during Noah's first phase and Miriam's battle, starts off with a gorgeous piano segment that rapidly evolves into energetic trance. Noah's battle in particular overlays the piano segment with snippets of her backstory, causing the song to really hammer in her story as a Tragic Villain, while in Miriam's battle it moreso evokes the insane difficulty of her fight.
  • Noah's second form, Rumi, and Irisu's endurance phase have No Remorse, which has a much more mysterious vibe to it. Fittingly, all the times it plays involve a highly unconventional battle unlike any other.
  • Noah's final phase (as "???") and Irisu have RFN - III, which really gives off an air of finality as Erina takes on a brutally difficult foe - the Disk-One Final Boss and True Final Boss respectively.
  • Azure, used for the first 4 SP battlesnote , is an ethereal piece that combines chimes, drum-and-bass, and a haunting piano to create a battle theme that gives off the impression that you are not meant to beat these bosses as easily as the others.
  • The unnamed theme that plays during the miniboss battles in the Hall of Deep Memories is incredibly intense and foreboding for something that plays for such a short time.
  • Finale, the appropriately named track for the last battle against Erina the Forgotten Maiden, perfectly captures the essence of both the brutally difficult battle against Erina as well as a conclusive end to both the adventure and Noah's story, seamlessly incorporating the Leitmotif present throughout much of the game to create a breathtaking backdrop for the conclusion of the game, all capped by the theme for the last 100 seconds of her endurance phase.
