Awesome Music / Kent

  • The announcement video for their last album. Every shot contains references to older albums, songs and music videos while awesome music, that starts with a simple drum beat, is played in the background. Kent really did everything right with that. The awesome bass/beat from the video is reused in "Gigi" from said last album.
  • The smooth segue between "Sömnen" and "Vy från ett luftslott" on their album Tillbaka till samtiden.
  • "Mirage" and "Mannen i den vita hatten" both have awesome intros.
  • "Markus Sång (Papin Jahti)" is a song sung by Markus Mustonen, sung completely in Finnish, sounding like a Finnish "iskelmä" and completely different than anything Kent has created, but not less awesome.
  • "Egoist". One of the lines in the verse is "A monotone verse needs a strong refrain". And you bet the refrain is. Especially with the synthesiser piano in the background.
  • "Max 500", a very well done rock song and one of their more positive songs.
  • "Den andra sidan" is pretty epic. It starts out slow and exciting, only to get suddenly powerful towards the middle. Plus an awesome case of Accent Upon The Wrong Syllable in the second half of the song.
  • "Columbus" and basically the entirety of Tillbaka till samtiden, proving that Kent isn't only good at producing Alternative Rock music, but also Electro Rock.
  • En plats i solen might be even better than Tillbaka till samtiden. Special mention goes to "Ismael", "Ensam lång väg hem" and "Gamla Ullevi".
  • The build-up in the classic "747" is astonishing to hear.
