The Battlefield series has some pretty awesome music.
- The theme song of the entire franchise, starting with. Battlefield. 1942. Theme. This awesome song gives the perfect 'we are at war' feeling, and has become a staple of the franchise ever since.
- Its follow-up versions are equally awesome. Here's Battlefield 2, and Battlefield 2: Armored Fury.
- 2142's theme sounds even more symphonic and epic, on the other hand, the upcoming Battlefield Heroes' theme song is just damn catchy and fun.
- And the version of the theme played during the loading screen of Wake Island 2142. Played with electric guitars.
- You want electric guitars? Here's a different mix of the Battlefield 3's theme for you. Sounds kinda futuristic... then the Battlefield theme kicks in at 1:16. It was composed by Remo Baldi, but is not included in the game.
- This is the Official BF3 Theme. It sounds like a thunderstorm (alt link).
- Battlefield 4's theme is equally awesome, especially for the people who are iffy about BF3's rendition for being too noisy.
- Battlefield Hardline, in spite of its faults, has a kickass rock rendition of the Battlefield theme.
- After 3 and 4 had electronic remixes of the classic Battlefield theme that were met with mixed reactions, 1 brings the main theme back in all its powerful, orchestrated glory.
- Battlefield: Bad Company has some particularly awesome music. There's the absolutely kickass cello rendition of the Battlefield theme and an appropriately epic orchestral version.
- Battlefield: Bad Company 2 continues the tradition, with awesome tracks like the main theme, titled "The Storm", and the tense, powerful "Snowy Mountains".
- Battlefield 3 has quite a few that play during the campaign and in load screens:
- Thunder Run is an extremely atmospheric piece that perfectly sets the mood of any match.
- Solomon's Theme is the song that you hear every time you lose a match, therefore you'll likely only hear its first few seconds, but make no mistake: the complete song has a steady and powerful crescendo that will get you pumped for another round.
- Death of Vladimir is more low key than most other songs of the soundtrack, but it's still incredibly dramatic and moving, perfectly capturing the feel of one of the most intense moments of the campaign.
- The Premium Edition soundtrack gives us Frostbite Pillars, which perfectly captures the adrenaline of playing Rush Mode in the Operation Metro map.
- Battlefield 1
- The round end buildup music, Hunted, can really make things intense when everyone's down to that last objective and are going all out.
- All of the tracks that play at the main menu. "Dawn of a New Time (Zadji Zadji)" is very cultural but poignant at the same time.
- The soundtrack that plays towards the end of Storm of Steel perfectly captures and intensifies the sense of desperation and hopelessness of the grueling battle taking place. One has to wonder why the hell the devs didn't use this track as a round ending theme.
- The Glitch Mob's remix of "Seven Nation Army", used for the trailer music of Battlefield 1 for its addictive and hyper tone that signifies the urgency and chaos that unfolds during the First World War.
