- Tenel Ka is practically made of awesome, from taking out Tamith Kai twice to fighting Bartokk assassins armed only with a spear and enough bad attitude to power a Death Star.
- When a gang of kids on Coruscant corners the heroes, they hesitate to make the first move when Tenal Ka and Lowbacca challenge them. Granted, most sane people would be hesitant to attack a Wookiee and a warrior girl who just pulled a knife.
- Confronted by Bariss, Luke is almost disappointed in him. Fighting, but fighting so calmly it unnerves his opponent. And even when given an opportunity to disarm his opponent, he instead just breaks his lightsaber.
- In one of the later books, Dengar attacks the planet the kids are on, to claim a bounty target. The kids try to hold him off, but he's strong and good enough to challenge even Jedi Knights (in training). Em Teedee enters the scene... leading the reprogrammed body of IG-88. Even reprogrammed to never kill any sentient, he's still more than a match for Dengar and forces him to retreat.
