- Few men can say their debut match caused a full on riot. Big Van Vader however is one who can, as his victory over Antonio Inoki at the famous Sumo Hall squash in 1987 sent the fans into a full on frenzy.
- In 1990 at a joint NJPW/AJPW show Vader got his eye removed from his socket by the thumb of Stan Hansen with a punch in the middle of the match. He then proceeded to pop it back in and finish the rest of the match.
- His return to Raw in 2012. You know you marked out. Don't deny it. The fact that he could still go at 57 makes it even more awesome.
- The whole saga of his feud with Will Ospreay, which started with Vader being critical of Will's match against Ricochet in New Japan Pro Wrestling and ended in a match between the two in Revolution Pro Wrestling. Essentially, the whole feud just sprang up organically and had the wrestling world enthralled for ages.
