• The movie had a much respectable $20m opening weekend on one of the slowest movie-going weekends annually (Super Bowl weekend), showing that Daniel Radcliffe potentially has box office draw of his own.
• The fact that Arthur risks his life for a town that was very unkind to him-and the ghosts of Jennet, Nathaniel, and the other children, all of which are downright cruel to him; not merely unfriendly like the townspeople. No Good Deed Goes Unpunished; however. Jennet breaks her rules for him, though, and lets him Ascend to a Higher Plane of Existence rather than forcing him to stick around like her other victims.
