From The Dreaming: Waking Hours:

  • Heather After pulls off a huge moment of awesome in Issue #11: after being tormented for hours by the Unseelie, she is with Nuala, Oberon, and Titania and ready to depose the Unseelie from the Faerie Court. However, Puck arrives and reveals that not only is he working for the Unseelie, but also that he stole her medical chart and therefore knows her true name. The Unseelie then try to say the name on her chart — they try, but can't even get out the entire name before collapsing on the ground in pain. Because that isn't her true name — that's her deadname. As Heather After puts it:
Heather: You thought you could control me by telling me the name on my birth certificate? Let me tell you a little secret, counselor. There is no such thing as a True Name. [magic swirls around her] I give you a name—and the name is Lost.
  • Issue #12 tops this: Heather After not only imprisons the Unseelie in an unbreakable bubble, she then threatens the Dream King himself unless he lets Ruin and Ben have their happy ending:
Dream: Now get out of the way, or I will remove you myself.
    Heather: Sorry. Can't.
    Dream: What?
Heather: I give you a coin I made from a stone. I give you a song I stole from the dirt. I give you a knife from under the hills.
Dream: What is this? How did you—
Heather: And a feather I plucked from an angel's wing. That bit's not an idle threat, either. I picked up this baby last time Jophiel did his terrifying Biblical thing.
Dream: How did you get that spell?
Heather: My great-grandmother was more than just Burgess' side piece. She was listening, and I listened to her. So here's how it's going to go: you're going to let Ruin and Ben stay together, and I'll never say the final stanzas of that spell.
Dream: You are making a mistake for which there is no forgiveness. Ruin will still be mortal. And your family and mine will once again be at war. It didn't end well for you the last time.
    Heather: I'll take that chance.
  • Keep in mind that the last time this happened, Dream was caught 1) unaware and 2) weakened. This is Dream aware and in full power and yet he still backs down from Heather's threat of finishing the spell. Which probably means that she is much more powerful than her great-grandfather ever was.
