Awesome / The Old Guard

• The first action sequence. Up until this point, the audience has been given no indication that the main characters are anything but a team of skilled mercenaries. Then they get ambushed and shot full of bullets. Then they begin to heal from their injuries. Cue Mass "Oh, Crap!" as the assailants frantically try to reload their guns, but too late. The Old Guard proceed to slaughter the soldiers without breaking a sweat.
• The final action sequence, which despite the characters' long history, works as something of a Misfit Mobilization Moment. Nile is completely new to fighting alongside the team, Nicky and Joe have been through several rounds of medical experimentation, Andy is newly mortal, and Booker has been revealed as a traitor. Nevertheless, once they go into action they are perfectly in sync, handing off weapons without a second thought, covering other team members seamlessly, and generally tearing through Merrick's security like wet tissue paper.
• Joe demonstrating to Merrick's security chief Keane exactly why you do not harm Nicky. Notably, Joe has been hit with Worf Had the Flu for most of the movie. Once he's unhindered by gas or restraints — and coldly, deeply furious about Keane hurting Nicky in an earlier skirmish — he absolutely destroys Keane with his bare hands in less than a minute. Regarding Joe, you do not harm the man he loves if you know what's good for you.
