• When Marie Barone shows up at the Heffernan household while Carrie is deep cleaning the kitchen, she ends up waiting for a bit as Ray and Doug aren't there yet. Marie being Marie, she starts nitpicking everything Carrie is doing. Instead of getting frustrated, however, Carrie tricks Marie into doing all the work, under the guise of wanting to learn how to do it right. Marie falls for it hook, line, and sinker, making Carrie one of the few people (if not the only one) to outsmart her criticism.
