The car chase throughout the New York N Train is one of the most memorable in film history.
The final act of the second film has Popeye chasing the boat that is taking Charnier to liberty on foot, through European streets, and then ends with him getting Charnier's attention on the deck, him giving the same wave as Charnier gave him on the first film... and Charnier getting about a split second of "Oh, Crap!" before Popeye shoots him dead.
