When Pete gets crushed by a chunk of concrete, he reveals himself as a changeling by first turning into a bolt of energy, and bashing the plate giant in the face. The badass boast he gave to Leon was the icing on the cake.
Pete: We are changelings. We are the Forsaken Children!
What makes this even more awesome is the fact that he got crushed saving Leon.
The fight with the plate giant in general, highlights including Mary slashing one of its arms off with a katana.
When Leon becomes a hero, the first thing he does is to run into the fray, catch an oncoming punch from the plate giant, and twist the arm clean off.
He follows this up by destroying the giant by ripping the mug scrapz focal point out from its face.
The Campus Tour
A villainous example, but Earnest actually gives a pretty epic badass boast when his dad suggested giving the Necronomicon over to the Forsaken Children and implied that Earnest was playing with fire.
Earnest: Hezekiah was a dumbass!!! He thought he could just jump right into the depths of the Necronomicon without any consequence! I have been reading the spells, incantations and recipes, and only doing small scale experiments! I can guarantee you this: I. Know. What. I'm. Doing!
He's also pretty quick to point out his dad's hypocrisy.
Earnest: And you know what the irony of it all is? You are so quick to get rid of a family heirloom when it inconveniences you, but you're more than happy to follow all of our other family traditions; like passing down deanship to me when you retire, or we always have to cater to the whims of the students, and let's not forget what you did to my mother.
The Heist
Ray managed to cause a campus wide blackout just by sending a surge through a lamppost.
Evil and twisted as it maybe, Earnest's batman gambit and genre savviness was pretty impressive. Not only did he manage to trick the Forsaken Children into killing his dad for him, he also managed to play on Arlene's feelings for Leon to trick her into deleting the evidence she had against him.
When Earnest tried to eat (or rape) Mary, Pete flat out beats the living shit out of him, and then delivers one hell of a reason you suck speech about how no matter how much Earnest says that his dad killed his mom, he'll never feel sorry for him because he's just as bad as his dad was.
Arlene (despite only showing up briefly in the last story) really shines here.
First, when Earnest was about to kill Leon, Arlene manages to stop him the wiccan by putting an arrow into his leg.
She also manages to hold Earnest at arrow point, threatening to send video evidence to the witch hunter's guild in order to get permission to personally kill him.
Even when Earnest tricks her into deleting the evidence, she easily manages to deflate his ego by pointing out how sad and lonely he truly is and how he actually wonders what his mom would think of what he has done. Even when Earnest tries to threaten her by saying big things are coming, she simply dismisses him and states that he's only going to drive himself insane in the end.
