Awesome / The Chronicles of Riddick (2004)

• Basically almost any scene that has Riddick or the Necromongers in it.
• Riddick's interrogation of Toombs.
  • Especially how it began
• The two merc snipers who are hanging from hoists on the side of Toombes' ship to snipe at Riddick with net guns deserve a little Villainous Valor recognition.
• The Necromonger's introduction scene where they vape everything on planet's surface is surely a moment of villainous awesome
  • The fear they show inspiring later is because of this
• The Lord Marshal's entrance. He knows how make one!
  • He then immediately quells all arguments by ripping out a protestor's soul
• "I bow to no man." and "But I will have a piece of him."
• Riddick then curbstomping Irgun. Minor CMOH since he hunted him down for killing one of his only friends
• The Guv's speech about the difference between convicts (who serve their time and respect the hierarchy) and inmates (who threaten the other prisoners just as much as the guards do) is cool, but Riddick's Take a Third Option response when asked what he is (he says he's passing through) is even better.
• During the hellhound scene, Kara leaps past one of them to slide down a rope leading to a different floor and Riddick stares another down.
• A lecherous guard searching Kyra for blades enjoys the work a little too much. Kyra then shows him where the blade is (the boot of her heel), in a way that he definitely didn't want.
• "I'll kill you with my teacup." He then proceeds to make true on his word as seen here.
• Every time Anatoli the slam guard has a Properly Paranoid The Nose Knows reaction to something dangerous and his boss Vasilev insists on listening to it.
• The shootout between Toombes' crew and the guards gives both of them some good moments of breaking out impressive firepower and using it to deadly effect. The buildup of both sides readying their weapons as the tension between them grows is also good.
• Riddick swinging out into killer sunlight to rescue Kyra with nothing but the contents of a water bottle for protection.
  • Even more so because Riddick is effectively blind in normal light, thanks to his eyeshine, and Crematoria's sunlight is not only deadly, but intensely brilliant as well.
• Riddick, Kyra, Sybar and the Guv going One-Man Army against dozens of Necromongers. Especially Riddick.
• Riddick using Kyra and her Armed Legs as an Epic Flail
• Vaako curbstomping the Guv.
• And, just to prove that other characters in the series can have their own crowning moments, the Purifier happily walking to his death and not stopping until most of his flesh has melted away in Crematoria's lethal sunlight.
• When the soldiers on Helion Prime try to apprehend Riddick, mistaking him for a Necromonger spy. They burst into the room, and Riddick calmly extinguishes the lights:
  Riddick: You're not afraid of the dark, are you?
• After Riddick kills Zhylaw (Lord Marshall), the camera shifts to Aereon, with the smuggest grin on her face. And then she says "Now what are the odds of that?"
• When Dame Vaako threatens to drop Aeron out of a Drop Ship to her death, Aeron hovers over the open door. She then quips that, "[Elementals] can't fly. But we can glide very well"
