Awesome / The Blue Shell Incident

• The fact that this movie exists is awesome in itself. Very few other Twitch streamers would be willing to not only make a 26-minute short movie with such an old program over the course of over a year, but also stream the creation process in real-time and make the making of the movie just as entertaining as the movie itself!
  • Speaking of which, almost the entire movie's plot was done on the spot, with a whole bunch of ideas coming out of nothing but the chat.
• The entire final fight scene is astounding, especially for something made in such an ancient program with no way to dynamically change the camera angles. Joel made it frame by frame over a period of 8 hours, and the effort shows. He also composed a custom intro and remix of Solid Snake's theme from Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake for the fight.
• Luigi goes from being an Action Survivor and clueless about what's happening to taking on a giant Mario in hand-to-hand combat, and even after he loses the cape power-up he's still able to bring Mario down. Then he wins the resulting fistfight.
• Duck saves Luigi from a Star-powered Mario by impaling him with a shovel, giving off an awesome one-liner as he does.
  Duck: Mother-ducker! Forgot to dig me a grave, huh?
• The movie's final line comes from Luigi... and it's a rather badass one.
  Luigi: My name is Luigi... or rather... I'm-a Luigi. Number one.
