Go To

As a Moments subpage, all spoilers are unmarked as per policy. You Have Been Warned.

General

  • Think about all the disguises Raven's worn throughout the series, around 20 per season! They're very convincing, she really knows how to act, and some of them were even created by Raven herself. Raven may not be the most graceful teenager on television, but she really knows her fashion skills.
  • Anytime Raven and Cory prove to be good siblings to each other.
  • Admit it: When you were younger, you wanted a room like Cory's.

Season 1

  • Mother Dearest: Even though it lands her in trouble, you have to admit, Raven calling out Mr. Petracelli on his unfair treatment of his students, and intentionally humiliating them can be seen as one. She even got a crowd of applause after class ended.
    • Raven (disguised as her mother) standing to the bully who stole Eddie's locker and telling him to back off of Eddie's locker.
  • Wake Up, Victor: The sole fact that Raven and Chelsea were able to resist Cory and Miles' hypnosis. That took strength. Victor on the other hand, wasn't so lucky.
  • Psychics Wanted: Cory making a fully-functioning trap for anyone who tries to steal his money. When Raven tries to steal from him even, he's just sitting there like a James Bond Villain with a water bottle.
  • To See Or Not To See: Viv(ian) (Raven's grandmother) is made of awesome. She can have visions whenever she wants, instead of Raven's occasional ones. And managed to get past all of Cory's pranks, all while keeping a positive, and friendly persona. Plus she helped Raven understand how her powers weren't necessarily a bad thing and should stay calm even when things don't work out. She's an Ensemble Dark Horse for a very good reason. (Too bad she's a one-shot character)
    • The sole fact the Eddie and Chelsea were willing to forgive Raven for her visions not working out, and apologized for being so mad at her earlier. They realized Raven's visions wouldn't always turn out the way they wanted, and that was okay, that just shouldn't stay mad at her over the incident for the timebeing. Also doubles as Heartwarming.
    • For those of you rooting for Eddie, him actually climbing to the top of the rock wall towards the end can be this as well.

Season 2

  • Out of Control: It's official, Victor now owns his own restaurant known as the Chill Grill.
  • Run Raven, Run: Raven saving Alana from a run-away piano can be seen as this for some. Too bad she lands in a some paint shortly afterward.
  • That's So NOT Raven: When Raven is tired of being judged for not having a certain look, Emayshia and Mimi stand up for her and say that different people had different appearances and shouldn't be judged for not meeting up to expectations. Also doubles as a Take That! to modern fashion at the time.
Victoria: That girl does not have the (unrealistically skinny twig-twin) look!
Raven: The look? Who says that’s the only look? You make people feel bad if they don’t look like that. No one looks like that.
Emayshia: I don’t even look like that.
Raven: Because in case you haven’t noticed, people come in all different shapes and sizes, and they’re all beautiful.
Mimi: Tell it, girl! Speak the truth!
    • But naturally, Raven was not only disqualified, but got a pair of security cops on her tail who kicked her out, but hey, at least Raven was living in the moment for a little bit, that's better than nothing.
    • Emayshia deserves some credit here. Even though Raven essentially crashed and hijacked her show (with good reason but still) she humbly compliments Raven, defends her, and humbly stands back and lets her model on her own while happily cheering her on.
  • Blue in the Face: Cory standing up for William and calling out Madison on judging William on his clothes and his adult-level intelligence at a young age.
    • Raven going through a full bin of shredded paper, and somehow managing to find the strips for the science formula and tape them together. So she could pass her science project, and go to the Blue Man Concert with Devon. That took several restless hours of searching, trial and error, and a whole lot of tape. She'll do anything for a day with Devon.
  • A Goat's Tale: Chelsea out of all people proving to be a great mother to the goat and providing it excellent service and care.
  • He's Got the Power: So, a teenage jerk named Sonny tricked Eddie (who temporarily had psychic powers at the time) into helping him gamble for horse hoping to receive money in return, all while pretending to be friendly with him. When Eddie picked the wrong horse after losing his temporary powers, the second time, Sonny tried to beat him up in anger, but then Raven and Chelsea showed up on the scene pulling a Big Damn Heroes moment disguised as 70s cops Coffee and Cream no less. (It was 70s Night at the Chill Grill) Just minutes ago, Raven was just complaining about how annoyed she was about Eddie's recent pride. She could have abandoned him and let Sonny give him a piece of his mind, but instead she chose to help Eddie out and stop Sonny. This also doubles as a funny moment and a heartwarming moment.
Raven and Chelsea (disguised as Cream and Coffee): Freeze Suckas!
Sonny: What's going on? Who-Who are you two?
    Raven: (as Cream) I'm Coffee!
Chelsea: (as Coffee) Yeah, and I'm Cream!
Raven: (as Cream) And you are stone cold busted!
    Sonny: You're cops?
Eddie: (playing along) Yeah! I know these two! Man, you're in trouble now, Sonny boy!
Chelsea: (as Coffee) Sho 'nuff cause we're a couple of bad mama-jamas who are not digging the vibe you been putting down!
    Sonny: What does that mean?
Raven: (as Cream) It means... if you stop putting the squeeze on my little soul brother (Eddie) over there we gonna forget this ever happened. You dig? You dig?
    • Then when Sonny and finds out they're not real cops, he tried to finish what he started with Eddie, but then Tonya and Victor pulled their own Big Damn Heroes moment by showing up on the scene, calling out Sonny for gambling and threatening Eddie, and calling Sonny's mother (which cows Sonny into leaving them alone). It just goes to show how much these two care for Raven and her friends.
  • Skunk'd: Raven knew how upset Chelsea was over her not enjoying nature like she does, but she still decided to go into the dark woods by herself just so she could save Chelsea from being stuck under a rock. And get this, she didn't even like nature at the time.
    • Speaking of which, Chelsea spent the entire episode being angry with Raven for being a "mall girl" and wondering whether they should even be friends. But Raven decided to give nature a chance and actually enjoyed it. Then Chelsea accepted the fact the Raven wasn't an outdoors person, and decided to stay friends with Raven anyway. Talk about true friendship.
  • The Dating Shame: After Eddie found out that Rodney Rivers edited out the things Raven and Chelsea said about each other so it seemed like they were talking trash, just to make the show more interesting, Eddie took a stand and played the real version (the nice one) in front of Raven, Chelsea and the audience.
    • When Chelsea and Raven found out Rodney Rivers was an evil fame-seeking liar/tape switcher they immediately made up for their actions earlier, apologized and hugged (with one hand, since they were holding onto a beam).
Raven: You see that? You cannot tear us apart!
Chelsea: Yeah, you can not mess up our friendship over a boy!
Raven: Yeah, no matter how cute...
      Chelsea: …or adorable...
Raven:...or fun he may be! (waves at Chad) We quit!
      • Then when Mr. Rivers tricked them into falling into the trap pit, he wrapped up the show, leaving the girls in humiliation, be then, Raven grabbed Rodney, and pulled him into the trap pit as well, leaving him humiliated and possibly getting the show canceled. That'll teach him to tear the girls against other! No one mess with true friendship and get away with it!
  • The Road To Audition: This episode is filled to the brim with Awesome Music, most of which was sung by the main cast, then there was a new character written for the episode, who also got a song.
    • One of those songs was sung by Raven-Symoné herself, and it's just as awesome as it sounds.
    • Paula Abdul's cameo appearance towards the end of the episode.

Season 3

  • Five Finger Discount:
    • After going along with Daryl's shoplifting/jerk crew, and feeling guilty about stealing for the majority of the episode, Cory tried to get out of the crew while he still could.
      • And when that didn't work, and Daryl threatened to blab a secret about Cory, and called him a sucker, Cory decided he was done with Daryl and his so-called "cool crew".
Cory: You know what Daryl? You can call me anything you want. But you know what you can't call me? A thief.
      Daryl: You stole that keychain.
    • Cory stopping Daryl from stealing a watch, and telling him it wasn't cool.
    • The fact that Raven was willing to defend own brother, and encouraged him to return the monkey and stood up the Daryl's gang. Usually she doesn't even like Cory. It proves that Raven really does care for her brother, even if she hates showing it.
    • After Daryl and his crew tried to sell Cory out to a security guard (actually Raven in disguise), Raven made Daryl's crew stay put, so they couldn't play innocent.
    • The fact that Daryl and his gang got busted, and reported to their parents. After mistreating Cory for the entire episode, this moment is very cathartic.
  • True Colors: Raven and her friends taking down Chloe Hunter, a racist store owner and exposing her business practices.note
    • The brief segment with Cory's history report, honoring black people who made their marks on the world we know today. Including Frederick Douglass, Bessie Coleman, Scott Joplin, Gary Morgan, Harriet Tubman, Jackie Robinson, Thurgood Marshall, Sojourner Truth, Madam C.J. Walker, Althea Gibson, Marcus Garvey, Mary Mc Leod Bethune and Jesse Owens. And then there's Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King Jr. And Cory thought black history was boring. He was motivated to finish his project after learning about all these accomplishments..
  • On Top Of Old Oakey: Eddie calling out Jake for using Chelsea's kindness and loyalty to his advantage, and pretending to be a vegetarian just so he could get close to her, and breaking his promise to support Chelsea's Old Oakey petition.
  • Boyz in Commotion: Tanya calling out the Boyz in Motion for using their fame to treat the Baxters as servants, and refusing to support Raven and perform in the school concert.
  • Art Breaker: After Raven accidently destroyed Chelsea's art statue representing her. Raven was willing to impersonate the statue, and allow Chelsea to get credit for her original work. Also doubles as Heartwarming.
  • The Royal Treatment: Raven witnessed a group of students picking on a foreign/exchange student. So how does she get them to stop? She criticizes their fashion choices, and an attempt to hurt them, and guess what? It works.
    • Prince Tendaji himself is a very vibrant character. He turned out to be an actual prince, and he's still very polite to the people around him, and accepted gracefully when Raven turned down the wedding proposal.
  • Taken to the Cleaners: The fact that Stanley, a 6-7-year-old boy, was single-handedly able to defeat Cory (a scheming expert), Eddie, and Victor (Cory and Raven's father), during the ping-pong matches and win over their stuff. Do not judge a person by their age or appearance.
    • For those of you rooting against Stanley, Chelsea, out of all characters, managing to not only beat Stanley, but smash a hole in his paddle during the match, can also be see as one.
  • Food for Thought: Raven and Chelsea teaming up to put an end to a fast-food court that took over the school, and explain the true nature of the company.
  • Double Vision: Raven and Ben saving a girl from getting trampled in the hallway.
  • Gettin' Outta Dodge: Loca and Muffy convinced Raven that they would stop trying to hurt people, but Raven had a vision that they would try to hurt Chelsea in gym, so what does she do when the gym door was locked? She found an alternate way to get to the gym, climbed up several floors of stairs and grabbed onto a rope above the gym just so she could stop Loca and Muffy from hurting Chelsea and warn her. Also doubles as a Heartwarming moment.
  • Country Cousins: Raven using to detective skills to retrace the steps of where their cousins' gravy boat last was and realizing she and Betty Jane used to bury anything they could find. So her and Betty Jane realizing their mistake not only settled a years-long feud against both families, it reunited them as well, being Raven and Vicki closer together.
  • The Grill Next Door: During the episode's stinger, Stanley came to apologize for tricking Raven, and handcuffing her earlier, only to immediately break his promise and handcuff her again, forcing her to go on another date with him. Nothing new there, but wait!... there's a twist. It turns out Raven predicted Stanley would backstab her, and she set Stanley up with a fake hand! Meaning, Raven was able to outcon the conman himself. Never mess with a psychic!
  • The Four Aces: Gertie- a senior- beating Chelsea- a teenager- in an arm-wresting match with little-to-no effect at all ... twice!
  • The fact that the Chill Grill willing to and able to redesign the Chill Grill into Ms. Wilcox's dream place, her childhood memory of the Four Aces.
    • Ms. Wilcox finally getting to live her dream of being a professional singer, plus she's shown that she hasn't lost her touch after all these years.
  • Vision Impossible: Dr. Sleevemore's back.
