- Later, when she calls their kissing "a disgusting display", Kieran telekinetically pushes Kelissande into the river. Rain silently applauds the soldier's initiative.
Lady of Light and Shadows
- Ellysetta's bodyguards breaking into the Church to rescue her.
- Ellysetta finally finding her spine and deciding that if the Fey are going to fall all over themselves to call her their queen, she was damned well going to start acting like it. Even Gaelen is shocked.
King of Sword and Sky
- When caged inside it, Ellysetta destroys part of the Wall of Mists. The Wall is a nation-spanning construct built by its best mages that has endured for a thousand years. Ellysetta just burns her way through it with nothing but pure tairen fury.

- And then streams of fire light up the sky as every tairen descends between Rain and the would-be usurpers of his crown.
