The miniseries

  • In the second episode, The Beefcake throws a door on top of Hyun, steps all over him, and proceeds to attack the children. Even though Hyun is injured and hallucinating, he grabs the monster's leg and holds it back so the children have time to escape.
    • Look closely at Hyun during this scene. He's actually smiling.
  • Sang-wook killing the Starving Monster using only his fists and immense strength.
  • From the same episode, Jae-heon saving Ji-su from The Blind Monster. With a katana, no less.
  • Myeong-ja letting herself turn into a monster so she can protect the kids from The Beefcake.
  • Ji-su employing a Groin Attack against The Beefcake with her trusty baseball bat.
  • Jae-heon's fight against The Beefcake.
Jae-heon: Ji-su, I'll take care of this. (makes a Bring It motion at the monster) Even those great muscles can't compete with this, I guess. (twirls his katana twice before flicking it) You're lousier than I thought.
    • When Ji-su rightfully tells Jae-heon that the Beefcake will kill him if he keeps provoking it, what does Jae-heon say?
(The Beefcake swipes at him angrily)
Jae-heon: (smirks cockily) Come on, you dumb piece of meat. Let's go.
    Jae-heon: Amen.
  • In the seventh episode, the spider-like monster in the vents finally reaches the first floor, heavily injures Mr. Han, and almost kills Sook-yeong. While the remaining male inhabitants cower in the daycare, the women—led by Eun-yu and Yu-ri—all work together to trap it long enough for Eun-hyuk and co. to return and finish the ugly thing off.
    • Sook-yeong absolutely refusing to be frightened and throwing a Molotov Cocktail at the monster herself.
    Sook-yeong: Die, you monster!
    • Hyun holding on to his humanity a little longer, even though he has to tap into his monster powers to heal himself and kill the spider monster at the same time. The tiny, yet proud smile Eun-yu gives him is enough proof of how big of a deal this is.
  • Mr. Ahn saving the group from the monsters in the underground garage with an improvised flamethrower.
  • Just as it seems as if all hope is lost in Episode 8, Yi-kyung arrives just in time and sends The Beefcake flying with a fire truck. When it attempts to crush the truck with her still inside, she rams into it multiple times before finally driving it into an pit, where the scaffolding from an unfinished construction job pierces its flesh.
  • Prior to that, Mr. Ahn proves once again how badass he is by saving Hyun from the Beefcake. With Molotov cocktails, no less.
    • When it seems as if The Beefcake will crush them both, Mr. Ahn, whose nose has now begun to bleed heavily, pushes Hyun to the side, glares at the monster, and calmly orders Hyun to "choose life."
  • Jae-heon's fight with the security guard from start to finish. Despite the fact that he's using his non-dominant hand to fight (and against a freaking lawnmower at that), Jae-heon succeeds at distracting the monster long enough that Jin-ok is able to call for reinforcements. Even when he loses his entire left arm, Jae-heon simply takes his injured arm out of its sling, picks up the broken piece of his katana, and drags the monster into the lift, where he then yells for someone to torch the both of them.
  • When one of the gangsters attempts to rape Yu-ri, a heavily injured Ji-su suddenly jumps up and stabs him.
    • When the gangster tries to rape Ji-su instead, it's ultimately Yu-ri that deals the killing blow.
  • Hyun finally going full monster in Episode 10 and effortlessly vaporizing Ui-myeong after the latter insults his soft heart and kills Sang-wook and Yu-ri.
