• In the third elimination (episode 10), when both artists, Lexxy and Tavis, turned out superb comic strips in ninety minutes. The time it took to decide on one winner was nothing short of amazing and tear-jerker, and even the losing strip was so good that the judges ended up breaking their rules to first return the strip to the artist instead of destroying it, and then bring the artist back as a Dark Horse Victory in the next elimination.
  • A similar feat happened in the seventh elimination (episode 22) — despite having prepared an elaborate and hilarious destruction sequence, Mike and Jerry opted to return Monica's strip instead.
• In episode 15, the contestants were asked to put together a convention booth. Abby was worried that her booth would be terrible and that she would be put up for elimination ... but when the judges looked it over, it turned out that not only was her booth perfectly fine, she had solved a problem that Penny Arcade itself had had at its convention booths for the past five years: their books kept falling over after convention-goers picked them up and put them back down, and Abby had simply put a stand between the pages to stabilize her books. She did not face elimination.
• In the sixth elimination (episode 19), Abby was a clear underdog going against Erika, who's been a professional webcartoonist for over 5 years. She not only won, but she outsassed both both Mike & Jerry and they laughed out loud at her comic, probably the biggest laughs so far.
