  • In 2000, he was named the third "Most Hated Wrestler" by Pro Wrestling Illustrated. Why is being ranked #3 so significant? Because #1 that year was Kurt Angle, #2 was Triple H and #4 was Jeff Jarrett. All three guys were World Champions that year and were pretty much the most significant heels of the year. Richards didn't even hold a title that yearnote  and was strictly a midcarder. That's a testimony to what a tremendous heel he was in his role as the Big Bad of Right to Censor.
  • The Right to Censor gimmick itself is worth mentioning. Much like Bill Alfonso's role in ECW in 1995 as the Lawful Evil referee who angered the fans by attempting to enforce the rules in a promotion that largely ignored them, RTC angered the fans by depriving them of what they wanted to see (essentially, sexy Divas and violence). The difference between Fonzie and RTC was that RTC would tell the audiences that they were bad people for wanting to see sleaze.
  • John "Bradshaw" Layfield had a reputation as a locker room bully. He would target people like The Miz, and Blue Meanie. in One Night Stand 2005, JBL took advantage of the scripted situation and essentially sucker punched Blue Meanie. After that cheap shot, he then proceeded to assault him, thus busting Blue Meanie wide open. Stevie Richards didn't take this very lightly as he accompanied Blue Meanie in a match against JBL in the July 7th 2005 edition of SmackDown and obliterated JBL in the face with a steel chair in order to get revenge after what he did to Blue Meanie, giving him a legit concussion.
