  • The boxart alone, much like the previous games cover art, shows that this isn't your normal kids game.
  • The artwork for the level loading screens. Special mention goes to the poster for Rooftop Rumble which looks like a poster for the wrestling match of the century featuring Patrick as Starfishman and Giant Plankton angrily staring each-other down.
  • Like usual, the music also qualifies, this time with a range of styles from Superhero, Rock, Horror and more.
  • Spongebob winning the race in Diesel Dreaming.
  • Patrick's first stage, Patrick-Man, in which he becomes a superhero and fights through a over-the-top Metropolis parody, defeating every minion in his path as he saves civilians from The Dreaded Patrick.
    • The crowning achievement of which had to be when he holds back a train to save someone tied to the tracks. To clarify, this isn't a sudden stop that caves the front—Patrick gets into a push-of-war against the train and forces it back until the engine blows out from the strain.
  • Plankton successfully evading the giant patty in Who Ordered the Supersize Krabby Patty?. Particularly since his higher size didn't give him proportional strength aside from being able to operate the levers that would ordinarily be too large, as he lampshades with "Curse... my... tiny... arms!" In fact, many frail structures crumble under his increased weight as he laments "Things were easier when I was small!" The only advantage he has is his freeze ray, which can destroy obstacles or buy him precious seconds of stalling his pursuer. But Plankton has always gotten by with his mind and pure determination.
  • While Spongebob failed to escape the Alaskan Bull Worm at the end of Belly Trouble, he's later seen breaking out through the monster's teeth.
  • Patrick's adventures in Rocket Rodeo, in which he flies through a space station and asteroid field on the rocket The Dreaded Patrick strapped him to, upgrades it with alien technology, helps protect the aliens from asteroids, and finally fights and defeats a Krabby Patty UFO
  • Revenge of the Giant Plankton Monster. With the player once more in the role of Plankton, the giant patty corners you once again. This time, though, Plankton's had enough running, and proceeds to use the very same ray that made the patty giant to become fifty feet tall, chases the patty off, and then, in a amazing Continuity Nod to the classic episode "Sleepy Time", goes on a rampage across Bikini Bottom, destroying everything.
    • It gets better when you remember that the game was released during the Seasonal Rot era of the show. Plankton had suffered serious Villain Decay and was at that point of time little more than a Harmless Villain who was frequently picked on by the rest of the show's cast. His destructive rampage as a invincible giant can come across as one giant The Dog Bites Back moment. Especially when he finally catches the patty and looks about to eat it out of revenge.
    • In the GBA port Plankton doesn’t use his gadgets to become giant, he does it through sheer force of will.
  • Spongebob and Plankton's chase in It Came From Bikini Bottom.
  • Patrick returning to Bikini Bottom and engaging in a massive battle against the remaining starfish minions in Rooftop Rumble, and finally defeating the still-giant Plankton with the help of Mermaid Man.
  • The sheer level of Scenery Porn and psychedelic imagery featured in Hypnotic Highway.
    • Moreover, villainous awesome points for Plankton in that stage. He's been shrunken back to his normal size from the previous level, but doesn't let it slow him down. While Patrick still has his rocket for the race and Spongebob appears to have befriended an aquatic/insect creature to attach a partial chassis and wheels for riding, Plankton constructs a motorized hovercar—presumably with whatever scrap and junk he could find around the dreamed-up racetrack. There's a reason he's been Mr. Krabs' Arch-Enemy for whole decades, and it wasn't his brawn.
