First an all-loving heroine in the original universe, now a rebellion leader in the alternate universe? As if Fiona wasn't awesome enough.
Per wiki policy for Moments pages, all spoilers will be left unmarked. You Have Been Warned.
  • In the party scene, Shrek does his famous roar. It impressed all the party-goers.
  • Thanks to Shrek's heroics in the first movie, he unknowingly stopped Fiona's parents making a deal with Rumpelstiltskin in the beginning which would've killed them and had given the latter absolute power...only for a messenger to stop the deal after word got out that Fiona is now safe, just before they were about to sign the contract. The king and queen's response? Tear up the contract and leave the bastard in the dust.
  • An understated one for Pinocchio in the bookstore when meeting Rumpelstiltskin. Unlike in prior movies where he tried to pass himself off as a real boy or openly desired to be one, he casually corrects Rumpelstiltskin that he's not a real boy, appearing comfortable with his puppet body by then. And when he asks if Pinocchio wants to be one, the living puppet kicks him out of the bookstore with some choice words before slamming the door:
"No one needs your deals anymore, Mr. Grumpelstinkypants!"
  • The way Shrek and Donkey escape Rumpel's palace on one of the witches' brooms. Shrek grabs the chain of a ball, swings it around, smashes through the window and covers it with the ball to prevent the witches from chasing him out!
  • The alternate Princess Fiona. Before she led the ogre rebellion against Rumpelstilskin, her Offscreen Moment of Awesome reveals that after waiting so long for a prince to come, she eventually just rescued herself.
  • Awesome Music: The Piper's "Shake Your Groove Thing" sequence. Whatever your opinion is of this movie, seeing the Ogres, Shrek, and Fiona dancing to that is this.
  • While Shrek earlier states that he would have liked to take back the day he met Donkey when talking with Rumpelstiltskin, he winds up being key to helping Shrek in his quest.
  • After True Love's Kiss fails to break the curse (since Fiona doesn't love him), Shrek decides to do what he can to help Fiona with what little time he has left. After discovering from Gingy that Rumpelstiltskin is offering "The Deal of a Lifetime" for the person who brings him in, the ogre walks right into his throne room:
Shrek: Stiltskin! I hear you're looking for me.
Rumpelstiltskin: Alright! Finally! Who turned him in? Who gets the Deal of a Lifetime?
    Shrek: (takes contract) I do.
    Rumpelstiltskin: What? But...
Shrek: Well, if I'm turning myself in, I get The Deal of a Lifetime. (Shrek clears Rumpel's table and takes a feather from Fifi and dips it with magic ink) That means you have to give me anything I want.
Rumpelstiltskin: No, no, no, no! Only true love's kiss can break your contract! So, if you thought you were just gonna "do-do-do-do-do" in here and get your life back...!
Shrek: I'm not here to get my life back.
Rumpelstiltskin: Then what do you want?
Fiona: That was a really brave thing you did, Shrek.
  • The climax:
    • Donkey gets a "Eureka!" Moment when staring at an ogre's shield, the orges disguise themselves as a giant chandelier ball to get into the palace.
    • Puss is among the team; donning his hat, cape, sword, and boots again.
    • During the battle, Cookie uses his chimichanga stand as a catapult, with his chimichangas as ammunition.
Cookie: Get 'em while they're hot!
Shrek: The dragon goes under the bridge...
    Fiona: ...through the loop...
    Shrek: ...and finally...
    Both: ...into the castle!
    • Before Stiltskin could make his getaway on Fifi, Shrek uses one of the shackles to snag one of Fifi's legs so he and Fiona are brought back up, then Shrek yanks the chain, bringing Rumpel to plummet and get caught by Fiona in terror.
    Fiona: Victory is ours!
    • And the victory is secured a bit later, after Shrek and Fiona kiss for real. The twisted world of Rumpel collapses upon itself.
