Episode 1: "Toppled"

Episode 2: "Grief"

  • Jesus managing to trap Jamito's severed sentient finger in a bottle despite being drunk and depressed.
  • Isabela using a pair of gardening shears to fight off the monsters.
  • Remembering how Jamito died from an explosion, Isabela lures the mutants into a trap using Chiu's body as bait and then sets them ablaze using jow as accelerant.

Episode 3: "Night of the Wolves"

Episode 4: "Caged Dogs"

  • Isabela beating up an assassin sent after her while handcuffed.
  • Garcia and Brister don't do too shabby either. Brister even manages to take down two enemies despite being shot in the shoulder.
  • When he is attacked by one of El Balde's mutated dogs, Piyojo attacks it with the vomit-inducing technique Jesus taught him. This causes it to cough up the mutagen and revert back to normal.
  • El Balde has his hands around Silencio's throat and is about to kill him. Cue Lina running the villain over with her truck.
  • The sheer resilience El Balde displays. Not only does he easily defeat the siblings, but getting hit with a truck only puts him down for a few minutes.

Episode 5: "Blindfold"

  • The blindfolded sparring match between Chiu and Silencio. Silencio shows a great deal of skill against his mentor and even defeats him.
  • Garabina is strung up like a piƱata and beaten by El Balde to make her tell him how he knows his mother. Garabina — a very old and frail woman — remains defiant and instead taunts him to his face, even throwing in a Spiteful Spit.
  • Brister, using a camera as a makeshift sniper scope, shoots the rope holding Garabina and then takes a shot at El Balde himself.
    Brister: Say cheese, motherfucker!

Episode 6: "Reunion"

  • As terrifying as it is to see Isabela possessed by Alejandra, there is something very cathartic about seeing Balde show fear for the first time.
    El Balde: Mother? How?
Alejandra/Isabela: Baldemar... My little Orphan-Maker... Is that really the last thing you want to know before you die?

Episode 7: "Between This World and the Next"

  • The fight between El Balde and Alejandra in Isabela's body is nothing but the latter handing the former his ass with almost contemptuous ease.
  • When Silencio tries to get in between El Balde and Alejandra for his shot at revenge, Jesus subdues and talks him down. He also remembers that the best way to kill those corrupted by El Balde's mutagen is with fire.
  • While it might be a sign of his potential corruption, the way Silencio kills El Balde is pretty badass. First he impales El Balde through the mouth with a burning stick after Jesus made sure to cover the villain with alcohol. Then he shatters El Balde's leg and finishes him off by shoving his face into a coal fire. But not before Silencio mimics the "shush" gesture El Balde gave him before he cut out Silencio's tongue.
  • Garcia leading an exorcism of Alejandra from Isabela's body.

Episode 8: "The Empty Place"

  • Isabela undermines Lo's attempt to turn the trio against Chiu with one simple Armor-Piercing Question.
Isabela: If Chiu wanted immortality why didn't he simply eat the peach?
  • Lo shows the protagonists just how utterly outclassed they are compared to him. He effortlessly dodges their blows and barely even needs to hit them because he is just that powerful.
    • Silencio does get one good moment when he catches Lo's flying sword and drives it into the ground which actually impresses Lo.
  • Upon hearing of El Balde's death, the orphans of the people he murdered plan and execute a rebellion against his men.
    • Brigida, the little girl who leads the rebellion is truly something to behold. First, she uses her skills as a pickpocket to steal a gun magazine from one of the thugs, then has her little brother keep one of the men occupied while she starts recruiting kids to her cause. The moment she tricks one of the men into giving her his gun is when the rebellion officially starts.
You learn a lot of things growing up poor. How to flatter an idiot to get what you want. How to use a gun. How to pick a pocket.
