You do remember that this is a fan series based on RWBY we hope?

Charcoal Trailer

This won't end well for them...
  • The Charcoal Trailer in general. At the time of its release, it was by far the best fan-made content of RWBY, to the point where many considered it a one-shot of the series.
  • The introduction of Brandon Charbonneau. Standing atop a pillar, waiting patiently for his mark to arrive, then announces himself by shooting one of the tires and jumps down, performing a superhero landing. When the Jade Ninjas get ready to engage, Brandon doesn't even look remotely concerned.
  • Brandon's weapon is rather spiffy, being a simple combination between a sword and a gun.
  • After Brandon makes the Jade Ninjas run for the hills, he takes on the Stone Samurai that show up to seemingly protect the cargo, bursting out from the waterfall. Brandon takes out a few of them as they're landing on the bridge, but dozens have already appeared. In the far back of the bridge, some of them even push off a truck in order to make some room.
  • The fight against the Stone Samurai is seen as the highlight of the trailer, as it greatly shows off what is arguably the most fluid animation that resembles Monty's style.
  • Brandon's semblance kicks in near the end of the fight. His sword has a super-heated edge that just cuts straight through the enemy like butter, and at one point a single swing cuts down several behind the intended target of the swing. The bullets are now capable of gunning down anything behind the target too, as Brandon takes down three Stone Samurai in one shot.
  • The final attack: the Stone Samurai take up what looks like a phalanx formation, with spears ready to defend themselves. Brandon's solution? Charge at them, and in the blink of an eye, slice straight through them. Nothing happens, at first...until he replaces the magazine in Magnum Opus, then the top halves of the Stone Samurai fall to the floor.
  • What happens to anything destroyed by Brandon while his semblance is active. The remains of the Stone Samurai break down and turn into black flakes that almost look like black snow.
  • While Brandon's stiff and rigid movements can be attributed to how experimental the trailer and animation was at the time of its release, if one chooses to take it in context, it can be interpreted as Brandon barely feeling that need to exert himself. That fight against the ninjas and samurais was just that effortless for him. His expression of stoicism throughout the bout even indicates that he was probably bored the whole time.

Silver Trailer

Hello boys! Mind if I join in?
  • Simin's Establishing Character Moment. A White Fang grunt is lazing around before he notices a crate moving. Thinking somebody's in it, he goes to investigate and opens it. No one there. Then it's suddenly kicked forward and the crate is slammed to the floor, catching the attention of the rest of the White Fang. Simin's standing there, foot on the crate, grinning as he gets ready to lay the smackdown on the White Fang.
  • In Volume 2, we got a glimpse at how clothing infused with Dust is utilized, and it's used here in full effect as a weapon as Simin makes a sword and a shield out of Ice Dust, then goes to town on the White Fang.
  • When the Sergeant shows up, he manages to not only put Simin on his toes, but manages to shatter his ice shield just by DRILLING through it. Simin decides to kick up the ante by switching to Fire Dust and busts out with a BFS.
  • How does Simin take out the White Fang? Jumps into the air and throws a wind lance at them that makes a mini tornado and sucks them all up. He just lands on the ground nonchalantly while their bodies just hit the ground behind him. Oh, and the Sergeant was in the middle of it by the way.

Viridian Trailer

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chatareus___bow.png
Pfft! Who needs arrows? I got bullets!
  • The trailer is nothing short of Scenery Porn, taking place on a cliff just above a frozen freaking ocean, which is where the majority of the battle takes place.
  • The enemies in this trailer have to be given credit. Unlike in the other trailers, these guys put up a fairly good fight and nearly take down Vella.
  • The beginning of the fight is a giant free fall, with Vella performing an Assassin's Creed-esque backfall and waits until the Sword droid gets close enough for her to hit it. When she needs to break her fall, she just uses her semblance and makes the Shield droid her makeshift parachute.
  • Vella's weapon Chatareus. It's a rifle, but it's also a beautiful bow. Ruby would have a field day with this weapon!
  • After managing to embed Chatareus into the Sword droid, she kicks the bow free with a flip-kick and does several back flips before catching and firing the weapon with her legs.
  • When Vella decides to end the fight, she uses her semblance to keep the Sword droid off balance and just wacks at it until she knocks it into the air, then fires a semblance-empowered bullet that shoots at the droid like a rocket and hits it dead on, causing it to explode. The Shield droid isn't much better as she shoots it with rapid-fire, tearing off bits of its body before closing the distance and shooting its head off before, as an extra measure, cutting its body in half.

Linen Trailer

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tumblr_odd7dnfjlk1ubrmwyo3_500.jpg
I'm gonna rip you into pieces!
  • Linen is, by far, the most action-packed trailer at the time of its release. Not only does it include the Grimm as the main baddies, but Lycan introduces himself by dropping on top of a Beowolf and breaking its back.
  • Lycan's weapon. When he's not too serious, he'll just punch and kick and suplex your ass with some knives to poke into ya. Then an albino Beowolf hits him in the face. Lycan's response? Bust out with the Wolverine Claws and tear every Grimm in front of him to shreds!
  • When the Omega Beowolf appears, Lycan performs the image above, clearly looking forward to the challenge. However, it's a Bait-and-Switch moment as the Grimm is suddenly killed...and its attacker is one of the knights that was seen at the end of the Charcoal Trailer!
  • The Armor gives Lycan a run for his money, able to force him on the defensive before he whips out his Semblance and then forces it underground. When it gets ready to charge up an attack, Lycan just has his clone throw him straight at the damned thing and jam his claws into its face, causing it to implode. Afterwards, Lycan just shrugs it off and grabs his claws, which have the Armor's faceplate stuck to it.

Regalia Trailer

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dyzqenuv4auwozt.jpg
  • Ten seconds into the video and Regalia is already above its predecessors, simply because it features full-on voice-acting! And Ragora's VA is none other than the voice of Rescue Hero Thirteen!
  • When Ragora is talking to Simin and Vella, the trailer shows a bunch of destroyed Armors behind her. And she wastes no time adding to her kill count by attacking the fortress, showing off her weapon in its full glory and just cutting down any unfortunate Armor that gets in her way. Oh, and her weapon is a shotgun-slash-battle ax by the way!
  • The introduction of a new named character, Lysette. She looks like an Expy of Winter Schnee, and she's every bit as capable as the Specialist as she proves to be more than a match for Ragora. Her semblance even lets her freeze anything she touches!
  • Ragora's semblance. It's by far the closest a semblance can get to magic, creating a demonic head made from smoke that just flows out from her body. It keeps Lysette off-balance by repeatedly chomping at her, even pinning her to a pillar and shooting at her point blank. Lysette, on the other hand, just follows up by freezing Ragora solid with a well-timed strike...it doesn't last as the head just frees her.
  • Ragora pays Lysette back for turning her into a brief Popsicle by charging up her attack that just hits her in mid-air. And right before she hits her, the image above shows up, making it seem like Ragora's an actual demon. Or she's channeling her inner Witch.
  • All of the bullet points above are just the first half. Normally, this is where the video would end...but its got more to show you. Namely, all of Team SLVR in attendance!
    • Simin's introduction since the Silver Trailer is to catch Lysette as she's falling, then start cutting up Armors with his ice and fire blades. His first victim gets a hole in its chest, courtesy of his fire sword. And before he got here, he had to deal with three patrols of Armors before reuniting with Ragora.
    • Lycan shows up sprinting down the mountain side before launching himself into the fray with a fanged smile on his face. Unlike the Armor he fought before, the one he destroys dies like a wimp in one hit! note
    • Simin's actually gets pushed back and questions where Vella is. Not two seconds later does she snipe an Armor and apologize for being late, proceeding to kill off the rest, all from atop a mountain in the distance then closing the gap with her semblance, using the last remaining Armor as an anchor to propel herself, then shoot it to pieces. Then she gives the group a big ol' "v" sign and a goofy grin.
  • The last few seconds of the trailer show a rather familiar aircraft landing and opening its doors. Team SLVR takes on their battle poses and looks ready for combat. Sadly, the trailer ends here, but it more or less implies that Team SLVR is not done yet. This trailer also establishes Brandon, the "prototype" of Team SLVR, as the Big Bad.
