In "Two Heroes", not only does Hilbert foil Ghetsis's plan by releasing his own Kyurem to fuse with Zekrom, but the way he teams up with N with Genesect and Black Kyurem to take on Ghetsis and Shadow Triad in a 2v4 battle shows some inspiration on how much trust they have on each other to pull off a win in perfect sync without their new partners getting injured.
During the "Blazing Battle with Ash" event, Ash's Sirfetch'd fights the player's Solgaleo to a double knock-out. He has really come a long way compared to his humiliating defeat against Tobias. Also, the player's Torchic gets one for dodging Dracovish's Water Gun while hitting it with Flamethrowers due to the player having seen that Dracovish isn't good at distance attacks, but then Ash takes the moment back by having his Dracovish use Ice Fang on the wet ground, causing Torchic to get frozen solid and wide open to a finishing Fishious Rend with Dracovish sliding on the wet ground to deliver the final blow.
