  • While some of the Pals’ partner skills are hilarious, they’re also awesome.
    • Lifmunk wields a gun and sits on your head so it can shoot at your enemies.
    • Foxparks can be picked up and used as flamethrowers, allowing you to attack enemies from a distance.
    • Daedream’s necklace allows it to be out with you at all times. You can potentially fill up your party with multiple Daedreams and have one Hootcrates to boost their Dark-elemental skills, meaning that you have a powerful team of Dark-elemental Pals.
  • Your overall progression on the Palapagos Islands. You go from a shipwrecked survivor to a Badass commanding powerful Pals and wielding strong weapons.
  • Unlike Pokémon, you can fight side-by-side with your Pals.
  • Not only can you ride a variety of Pals, you can also use their skills while riding them. The mount Pals will also give your attacks a certain boost.
  • Lily’s backstory with Lyleen. She protected her future Pal from some Rayne Syndicate members by sneaking up on them in the fog and killing them. She is also the only boss who didn’t capture her Pal in a Pal Sphere and instead befriended it without using violence.
  • A patch made Digtoise go from a Low-Tier Letdown of a base ore miner into the best base ore miner. A fully condensed Digtoise with good passive skills can now mine ores several times faster than even a fully condensed Astegon and Blazamut at a base, demolishing copper ore in less than a minute, and the spinning animation with the damage numbers is extremely satisfying. Using a fully condensed one to manually mine rocks makes them even stronger, demolishing copper ore from full to nothing in a single spin cycle.
  • Defeating a Tower Boss. These are foes with a whole slew of powerful attacks and gargantuan amounts of health. Yet, with your Pals, dodging reflexes, and determination, it becomes very possible to overcome such strong opponents.
  • Defeating a Raid Boss. These are boss fights with more health than Victor and Shadowbeak... but to offset this, you have an entire base of Pals to sic on them. The devs actually turned this Cheese Strategy into an actual boss mechanic, and nothing is less amazing than having your entire base whittle down and defeat a boss with devastating, wide-area attacks.
