K-Pop groups members are notoriously harassed and injured by stalkers and mobs, and are usually expected to silently put up with it. Seeing a member of a well-known group retaliate against people who've terrorized, mobbed, and stalked NCT for years is cathartic. Beware the Nice Ones indeed.
• "Perfume". NCT Dojaejung's debut song became an instant Breakthrough Hit, and is recognized by both fans and non fans as one of the best K-pop songs released in 2023, and one of NCT's best title tracks. Even haters who generalize NCT's music as "noisy" went on to praise "Perfume" for being surprisingly good.
  • NCT Dojaejung went on to break multiple records, including becoming the fastest NCT unit to earn a top five hit in South Korea^note They achieved this just one week after debut, while NCT 127 and NCT Dream earned their first top five hit six years into their career, and their debut extended play becoming the best-selling album by a K-pop sub-unit. They achieved great feats in both domestic and international charts, an unexpected turn of events for fans of other NCT members who insisted that "nobody wanted this unit."
  • Jaehyun's part in the song's hook went viral just minutes after the performance video was unveiled, a day prior to the song's official release. Many praised his stage presence and the catchiness of his line: Yeah yeah that's me! Jiteun nongdoe... Call that an organic hit.
