  • In chapter 1/episode 2, Takeo saves Yamato from a falling metal beam (after running a considerable distance to get to her). Then, as the weight of the beam starts to overwhelm him, Suna and Yamato come back to help him push it up which leads to his Heroic Second Wind.
  • In chapter 3/episode 4, Takeo charges into a burning building to rescue two of Yamato's friends still trapped inside. Those same friends who had been mocking him not long ago. He's briefly trapped inside, but upon hearing Yamato screaming his name and fighting her friends to go in herself, he immediately breaks free and jumps out a third story window to make sure she stays smiling. That's when Yamato's friends realize what she sees in him.
    • Suna sums it up thusly, "Old age is probably about the only thing that can kill you."
  • Takeo is asked to help out at a judo competition. His opponent, someone he knew in grade school, tells him he's weak for having a girlfriend. Takeo calmly states that his girlfriend makes him strong, and it's clear from his opponent's reaction that Takeo has already won the match before it even starts.
  • When Takeo and Rinko are lost in the woods, they're attacked by a wild boar. Takeo halts the beast's charge, then uses a judo throw to send the bewildered porcine flying.
  • In episode 19, Suna calls for a wheelchair when Takeo's mother goes into labor at the hospital. At the same time, another woman in the same room also goes into labor. Rather than wait for a second wheelchair for the woman, Takeo picks up his mother and Bridal Carries her to the delivery room so the second woman can have the chair. Afterward, Takeo's mother remarks that his doing so made her realize her little boy has grown up.
  • In general, Takeo's feats of physical ability are this, since he excels at physical tasks with little effort on his part, even tasks that seemingly require more grace than Takeo's normally capable of, like ice skating. Even in life-or-death situations like the ones above, he can last far longer than the average person normally would.
  • Takeo retrieving his rival's baking equipment in time for a competition. He runs miles to retrieve the tools from the bakery, then deliver them to the competition. He's dripping in sweat, but he covered the distance in a fraction of the time it would have taken a car.
