• Mickey defeating The Mad Doctor and saving Pluto is this considering that in the original short, Mickey was captured in his attempt to save Pluto, and was only saved by the All Just a Dream trope at the last minute when the doctor almost kills him with his machine.
• For the Sega CD and Playstation ports, we have the penultimate level before the final boss. Captain Pete is in the center of the level, atop a stack of three crates, and cannot harm you. Mickey traverses to each side of the (weasel-infested) level three times, picking up red pencils at either end. Doing so brings back nearly every Mickey from the previous levels^* With the exception of Band Concert Mickey and the prince and pauper to help Mickey defeat Pete by destroying the crates where he's standing and gets shots at Pete once the three crates are removed. In order:
  • Mad Doctor Mickey lights a cannon, which destroys the first box in Pete's stack.
  • Beanstalk Mickey saws the second box down to size.
  • Lonesome Ghosts Mickey dashes across the screen, pushing the last box out from under Pete.
  • Moose Hunter Mickey calls a moose, which runs right over Pete, flattening him.
  • Prince Mickey and Pauper Mickey swing past Pete on chains. Pauper Mickey slices at him with a sword, which brings down his pants.
  • Finally, Steamboat Mickey sends in a crane, which hoists Pete away to the final room.
  • Even Pluto gets a stab at this in these ports, just before the final boss fight initiates by having him bite down on Pete's rump in a move taken from the original short.
