- Several moments in the 'Samus and Joey' manga issues, including these gems from Volume 1:
- The Pirates that shot first.◊
- She's just too fast.◊
- Tank - meet super missile.◊
- Rousing a dormant volcano.◊
- Chapter 5, Samus encounters another high tier bounty hunter called Bomad, the muscle of a crime boss who is shaking down an old junk-dealer friend of hers, Diesel. Not only does Aran Curb Stomp the hunter after enduring his Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs with far less blows; she then contends with his secret weapon◊, and proves why◊ a certain feature of the series◊ will remain forever cool.◊
- Volume 3 continues the trend of Samus being an unmitigated bad-ass of the highest order. Not excluded to:
- Being the protector the Universe needs.◊
- Why - Won't◊ - You◊ - DIE?!◊ At its finest.
- CHOZO...◊ PAWNCH!!!◊
- Aran counters◊ an orbital strike.◊
- An evil Illuminati faction of arms dealers known as Dominion create Integra, a war droid based on Sam's technology. It's powerful enough to kick the Hunter all over the shop. Until Aran uses her superior tactical thinking and some underhanded pragmatism to cripple its weapons. Then... We get a glimpse◊ of Samus' true◊ power...◊
- The simple fact that even though it took six years, the Metroid Database successfully completed translating the entire Samus & Joey manga on October 6, 2015. This was no small task, considering that the manga is extremely difficult to find even in Japan. The same could be said for the Metroid Prime 2: Echoes manga, which was similarly rare and the Database staff had to hunt wide and far and utilize contacts in Japan to find the elusive final chapter of it.
