  • Awesome Music: Trent Reznor worked with with longtime Lynch collaborator Angelo Badalamenti to produce a jazzy, dischordant and electronically tinged soundtrack. But perhaps the finest moment belongs to David Bowie... "Funny how secrets travel..."
    • "Apple Of Sodom" by Marilyn Manson, which is a dark yet awesome industrial metal song that is easily one of his best songs. Also, his equally awesome cover of "I Put A Spell On You" is on the soundtrack as well.
    • The two Rammstein songs that helped launch their international career.
    • Or This Mortal Coil's cover of "Song to the Siren".
    • Badalamenti's "Fats Revisited" is ethereally spooky.
  • Comedic Sociopathy: The entire scene with Mr. Eddy going for a drive. Running a tailgater off the road and Pistol-Whipping him just so he can give him a lecture about road safety zig-zags between awesome, terrifying and hilarious in a way that can only be described as "Lynchian".
    • According to Michael J. Anderson, this was a case of Real Life Writes the Plot, as Lynch wanted to do all those things to someone who tailgated him one day when he was out.
