Awesome / LA Knight

Go To

The Megastar became one of WWE's fastest rising stars in 2023, and with that ascent came many awesome moments, to say nothing of any awesome moments that preceded it.

  • Friday Night SmackDown, October 27, 2023. Roman Reigns enters the arena for the contract signing between himself and Knight for their match at Crown Jewel, posing on the ramp and about midway to raising his WWE Championship... then out comes The Megastar, interrupting Roman's entrance, his music, his obligatory pyro, and most of all his moment. Even better? He just strides past The Tribal Chief, dripping with confidence, and doesn't so much as look at Reigns as he walks past him. Throughout his long stint as Champion, Reigns constantly demands that everyone acknowledge his greatness; that very night though, Knight didn't even bother to acknowledge his existence. He treated the longest-reigning WWE Champion of the last 40 years as an afterthought. To his face. He also sits at the chair where Roman would usually sit, symbolizing how he is now the Head of the Table, and wastes little time signing the contract before shoving it into Roman's hands.
    • A minor moment of how popular he is when he, after referencing his Character Catchphrase about "whose game this is," immediately raises a finger to tell the crowd "Not yet" before they start chanting his name. No one in the audience says a word. Name another wrestler who has control over the audience like that!
  • While it was a losing battle in the end, LA Knight took Reigns to his absolute limit at Crown Jewel. The crowd was 100% on Knight's side the entire time, with a sea of signs flooding the stands as he makes his entrance, loud cheering when he had the advantage, while booing Reigns out of the building whenever he did. In the match itself LA Knight proceeded to resist two Spears as well as repeated interference from Paul Heyman, Solo Sikoa, and Jimmy Uso, before hitting Reigns with the BFT. And he had Reigns dead to rights with it, only failing because Jimmy put Roman's foot on the rope at the last possible second, with the referee literally getting the three-count before noticing the foot. Knight was not happy about this, and proceeded to beat the holy hell out of Jimmy and Roman, including throwing Jimmy through an announce table. It took Reigns spearing him through the barricade then throwing him back into the ring for one final spear to put Knight away.
