Kenny Omega's match against Kazuchika Okada at Wrestle Kingdom 11 is the first six-star match in 30 years as rated by Dave Meltzer. He only got better from there.

There's a reason why he's called the Best Bout Machine.

  • Doing the Final Atomic Buster. Granted, it was to a blow-up doll, but STILL.
  • Kenny stealing the show with Christopher Daniels at ROH Death Before Dishonor VIII.
  • KUSHIDA defeating Kenny at Dominion 2015 to win the IWGP Jr. Championship. Countering the One Winged Angel into his Kimura Lock to win it.
  • His run in the 2016 G1 Climax
    • Katsuyori Shibata escaping The One Winged Angel of Kenny Omega and locking in the sleeper and following it up with The PK to win on Night 12.
    • Kenny vs. Tetsuya Naito on Night 18 to determine the winner of the B Block. It's the match that put Omega on the map in terms of becoming the Best Bout Machine.
    • Omega beating Hirooki Goto in the finals to become the first 'gaijin' (foreign) wrestler to win the G1 Climax.
  • Kenny Omega defending The Tokyo Dome shot against Hirooki Goto at King of Pro Wrestling 2016.
  • 1/4/2017: His match against Kazuchika Okada at Wrestle Kingdom 11 for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship:
    • His entrance to said match should also count. Kenny recreated the famous scene from Terminator 2 where he asks for his clothes. Then he comes out wearing a T-800 mask covering the left side of his face and a shotgun. He even got pyro!
    • At one point in the match, Kenny even recreated the Terminator's time-travel entrance (complete with The Young Bucks pounding the ring apron to the sound of the Terminator 2 theme) before landing a Topé con Hilo on Okada outside the ring!
    • Much has to be said about the treatment of the One-Winged Angel in that match. True, Kenny never hit it, but it was built in such a way that had he did, the match would have belonged to him. Conversely, Okada needed to hit four Rainmakers to put Kenny out for good. And it wasn't even a Rainmaker that was the finishing blow that took Kenny down. Okada had to bust out a spinning Tombstone Piledriver.
    • Other highlights of the match include the following movies:
      • Kenny paying homage to his friend and former tag partner Kota Ibushi by doing a triangle moonsault to the outside.
      • A top rope Dragon suplex where Okada lands on his fucking head.
      • A package Tombstone Piledriver, ala Sami Callahan and King Cuerno.
      • A disgusting ripcord knee strike, note  as a Take That! to Okada himself.
    • All in all, it was the first match in nearly thirty years (and the first publicly broadcast match) to receive a six-star rating from Dave Meltzer.
  • His rematch with Kazuchika Okada at Road to Dominion 2017, which ended in a draw after a brutal sixty-minute match. This topped the rating for Wrestle Kingdom 11, earning 6.25 stars from Dave Meltzer.
  • Kenny Omega vs Tomohiro Ishii from Wrestling Dontaku 2017. Both men busting out numerous moves, including both Omega and Ishii pulling off reverse hurricaranas.
  • Kenny Omega vs Michael Elgin in the US Title tournament. Kenny comes out to a massive ovation from the crowd. Elgin shows his strength early on, proving why he's Unbreakable. He even hits a top rope sitout crucifix powerbomb on Kenny! Omega fights back with some brutal V-Triggers and puts Big Mike away with the One Winged Angel.
  • Defeating Tomohiro Ishii in a gruelling 30+ minute match to become NJPW's first-ever IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion. A particularly noteworthy spot has Omega attempting to Dragon Suplex Ishii from the apron through a table on the outside floor, and Ishii is hanging on for dear life by clinging to the rope with his teeth. Omega of course succeeds.
  • His run in the 2017 G1 Climax
    • Kenny Omega vs. Minoru Suzuki on Night 2 saw a lot of Bullet Club vs. Suzuki-gun antics when TAKA Michinoku, Taichi and El Desperado came out to assault Kenny while down. Chase Owens and Bad Luck Fale come out to even the odds, kicking the match into high gear and ending with a victory for the Biz Cliz's leader.
    • Michael Elgin vs Kenny Omega on Night 8, fantastic matchup culminating in Elgin pulling off the Burning Hammer to get the win.
    • Juice Robinson shocks everyone when he counters Kenny's One Winged Angel into a rollup and pins him on Night 14, causing the crowd and commentators to completely lose their minds.
    • Kenny finally pinning Okada on Night 18 in the G1 and advancing to the finals...against Tetsuya Naito. Can Omega and Naito do it again?
    • Tetsuya Naito vs. Kenny Omega, in a rematch of last year's G1 B block finals to decide the 2017 G1 Climax. Things get ugly real quick after a botched pile driver attempt on the announce table by Naito seemed to kill Omega. Both men went for every brutal and dangerous move they could devise, showed they knew each other well by countering each other's finishing moves in the craftiest of ways, and even pulling some older tricks out of their arsenals (like Naito using his Stardust Press as a Call-Back to the 2013 G1). In the end, after two consecutive Destinos, Tetsuya Naito captured his second G1 Climax victory, in a vastly different place and standing from where he was after winning the G1 in 2013.
  • After sustaining a torn meniscus, Kenny was in for a fight in his first United States title defense against Juice Robinson. But he took Juice's best shot and was the first man to kick out of Pulp Friction. Just when it seems like Juice is going for one off the ropes, Omega turns the tide and lands a second rope One Winged Angel to retain the title. All within a few weeks of surgery.
  • Despite losing, Beretta had a hell of a coming out party at Power Struggle 2017 in his US title match against Kenny, proving that he can hang in that sort of company.
    • And then there's the post-match with Kenny being challenged by a debuting Chris Jericho to a match at Wrestle Kingdom.
  • Over the course of a year, Omega has had a five star match, a five and a quarter star match, two six star matches, and a six and quarter star match. 24 stars in a year and more to come.
  • His match with Chris Jericho at Wrestle Kingdom 12, a fantasy booking scenario no one thought would ever happen and it managed to live up to the hype and more, from Omega scratching and crawling to escape Jericho's Liontamer despite bleeding heavily due to a turnbuckle chair shot, to kicking out of the Codebreaker and throwing a steel chair at Jericho while he was attempting the Lionsault, allowing him to plant Jericho with One Winged Angel on said steel chair to score the pin.
    • His entrance has him dressed as Osiris from Destiny 2 and carrying the Vigilance Wing!
  • Jay White reversing the One-Winged Angel into the Blade Runner and beating Kenny for the IWGP United States Championship at New Beginning 2018.
  • The Golden Lovers vs Marty Scurll and Cody at Honor Rising 2018
  • Strong Style Evolved, New Japan's second show in the U.S. It saw Kenny and Kota Ibushi reunite as the Golden☆Lovers to take on The Young Bucks. In one of the most anticipated tag team matches since Omega and Ibushi signed with New Japan, it delivered. Not only was the wrestling amazing, but the story of it was gripping. The Bucks and Omega had been inseparable since they first worked together in Bullet Club. Now, Kenny was torn between his best friends and his partner. The match received five stars from the Wrestling Observer.
  • 6/9/2018: Omega defeated Okada in a Best 2 out of 3 falls match to win and become the IWGP Heavyweight Champion.
    • Omega's win not only makes him the first Canadian IWGP World Champion, but it also ended Okada's 720 day strangle hold on the title.
    • The match yet again broke Dave Meltzer's rating system, this time earning seven stars. Some have even gone far as to label it with absolute sincerity as the greatest match in the history of professional wrestling.
  • His run in the 2018 G1 Climax
    • The previous two G1 Climax winners, Kenny and Naito, facing off on Day 2.
    • Kenny vs Hirooki Goto on Day 4
    • Kenny vs Juice Robinson on Day 8
    • Kenny vs Sanada on Day 10
    • Kenny going 6-0 in the tournament by defeating Zack Sabre Jr
    • Tomohiro Ishii ending Kenny's winning streak in G1 on Day 14.
    • The Golden Lovers facing off on Day 18.
  • His Dream Match at All In against someone people have been clamoring for him to face, Pentagón Jr. They didn't disappoint.
  • The Golden Lovers taking on Ishii and Will Ospreay on September 7th 2018.
  • Kenny defending The IWGP Heavyweight Championship against Ishii at Destruction in Hiroshima
  • The Golden Lovers taking on Okada and Ishii at Fighting Spirit Unleashed 2018.
  • Kenny Omega retaining his championship by pinning Kota Ibushi in a triple threat with Cody at Power Struggle 2018.
  • The Golden Lovers taking on Tanahashi and Ospreay at the December 15th 2018 Korkuen Hall Show.
  • In the main event of Wrestle Kingdom 13, Hiroshi Tanahashi defeated Kenny to win the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. Needless to say, Kenny went out with a bang in his last NJPW match.
  • 2/7/2019: Kenny was announced as a competitor in a fledgling wrestling company known as All Elite Wrestling.
  • At AEW's first show, Double or Nothing, Kenny and Chris Jericho went all out in a match that absolutely lived up to their Wrestle Kingdom 12 classic. This is despite Jericho legitimately breaking Kenny's nose early on in the match.
  • At Fyter Fest (which took place at CEO, a fighting game tournament that takes place every year in Orlando), Kenny and the Young Bucks showed their love to the Street Fighter community by coming out dressed as Akuma, Ken and Ryu. The best part? The Elite got ring announcer Justin Roberts to complete the reference with an emphatic 'ROUND ONE. FIGHT!' before the bell rang.
  • Kenny making his first ever appearance in Mexico (at Triplemania no less), teaming up with the Young Bucks against the Lucha Brothers and Laredo Kid. Needless to say, the match was a ton of fun.
  • Kenny's series of matches with Joey Janela on AEW. The first match was a brutal Lights Out match that showed that Kenny can absolutely wrestle the death match style that Janela is known for. The second match showed that Janela can absolutely hang with Kenny in a straight wrestling match.
  • Kenny winning the Mega Championship from Fénix in a match that was named AAA's match of the year in 2019.
  • Kenny celebrates Halloween 2019 early in AEW, cosplaying Sans and comes out to Megalovania.
  • Kenny vs. Jack Evans on the 11/26/19 episode of AEW Dark for the AAA Mega Championship in a match many still call one of the best in Dark's short history, with Evans proving he's more than a flippy motormouth, throwing everything including himself at Kenny only for Kenny to hit the One Winged Angel for the win.
  • Kenny's Lights Out match against JonMoxley at Full Gear. Mox promised that we would see violence like we haven't seen in this country in decades and they did not disappoint. It was a forty-eight minute war that saw both men pull out all the stops. Highlights include:
    • Moxley slamming Omega onto a board of mouse traps.
    • Omega putting Mox in a Sharpshooter, forcing Moxley to crawl to the ropes...through broken glass shards.
    • Moxley suplexing Kenny off the entrance ramp onto a trampoline bed made of barbwire.
    • Omega putting Moxley through the set with a V-Trigger.
    • Kenny using the Paradigm Shift on Moxley on the exposed wooden canvas of the ring, then attempting a Phoenix Splash that saw him land face first onto said canvas before Mox hits him with a final Paradigm Shift to finally end the bloody feud between the two of them.
  • Kenny's first Mega title defense against Dragon Lee. The match was so good that the fans threw money into the ring which is the biggest honor Mexican fans can give a match and something that hadn't happened at a AAA show in years. It goes without saying that Kenny is still The Best Bout Machine regardless of the country he's in.
  • On the New Year's 2020 episode of Dynamite, Kenny and The Young Bucks took on PAC and the Lucha Brothers. It was as awesome as you would think given the six guys involved.
  • At Bash at the Beach, Kenny and Hangman Adam Page took on The Young Bucks, Santana and Ortiz and The Best Friends in a four way tag match to determine tne #1 Contenders for the Tag Titles. It was an absolutely wild match with non-stop action throughout culminating in Kenny and Page picking up the win.
  • On the very next episode of Dynamite (which took place aboard the Jericho Cruise), Kenny and Hangman beat SCU in an absolute banger of a match to win the AEW Tag Team titles!
  • On the 2/4/20 edition of Dark, Kenny teamed up with Riho in the first intergender match in AEW history to take on Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford. Intergender wrestling is something that Tony Khan notably is not a fan of and said we would never see in an AEW ring. After months of Kenny and the fans asking, we finally got to see it and by god, it delivered.
  • Kenny teaming up with the rest of The Elite to take on The Butcher, The Blade and the Lucha Bros in an absolutely nuts 8 man tag match on the 2/5/20 edition of Dynamite.
  • The rematch between Kenny and Hangman and SCU on the 2/12/20 edition of Dynamite. It was every bit as good as their first encounter, if not better.
  • Kenny and Hangman defending the tag titles against the Lucha Bros the very next week in what may be one of the best tag team matches AEW has ever put on.
  • Kenny's Iron Man match against PAC. An instant classic and maybe the best TV match ever.
  • Kenny and Hangman defending the tag titles against The Young Bucks at Revolution in what some - including Dave Meltzer - have called the greatest tag team match of all time.
    • These last two matches? Happened just 3 days apart.
    • At one point Omega is down in the ring, Hangman Page having been taken out on the outside, and the Bucks come in and start delivering superkicks and a Golden Trigger Combination Attack onto Omega, laying Omega out, Matt Jackson goes to pin, and Kenny kicks out at one and starts hulking out, as if to say "I went to war with Kazuchika Okada you punks! I invented Power Copying! You mooks are gonna' have to do better than use my own moves to keep me down!"
  • Kenny's match with Trent on the April 1st Edition of AEW Dynamite. Trent takes the Best Bout Machine to the limit, but in the end Omega wins with just seconds left on the clock.
  • After two months of The Bucks and Hangman being nowhere to be found, The Elite finally return to full strength and stand tall over the Inner Circle on the 5/20/20 Dynamite.
  • The Stadium Stampede match at Double or Nothing 2020. Words cannot describe the utter insanity and crazy fun Inner Circle and The Elite and Matt Hardy had fighting against each other using an entire football stadium as their ring. It all ends with Kenny delivering a One-Winged Angel onto Sammy Guevara from two-story high to end this epic match.
  • Kenny and Hangman defending their titles for the first time in three months against Jimmy Havoc and Kip Sabian on the 6/3/20 episode of Dynamite.
    • Their combined finisher finally gets a proper name, The Last Call.
    • At one point in the match, Penelope Ford interferes and goes for a hurricanrana on Hangman. Page just catches her out of midair and drops her. The ref then proceeds to immediately eject her.
  • Kenny and Hangman defending the tag titles against The Natural Nightmares on the June 17th, 2020 Dynamite.
  • Kenny and Hangman defending the tag titles against The Best Friends at Fyter Fest 2020 Night 1.
  • Kenny and Hangman defending the tag titles against Private Party at Fyter Fest 2020 Night 2.
  • Kenny and Hangman defending the tag titles against The Dark Order on the July 29th, 2020 Dynamite.
    • After the match, Brodie Lee orders The Dark Order to attack Kenny, Hangman and The Bucks but they're saved by FTR!
  • The Elite and FTR taking on The Dark Order in a 12-man tag on The Dark Order on the August 6th, 2020 Dynamite.
  • Kenny and Hangman's 200+ day title reign finally coming to an end in a great match with FTR at All Out 2020.
  • Kenny Omega vs Penta El Zero M in the semifinals of the World Title Eliminator Tournament. The two pulled out all the stops in this match including Penta hitting Kenny with a Canadian Destroyer on the ramp! In the end though, Kenny was able to fight through a broken arm to hit The One Winged Angel and pick up the win.
  • Kenny Omega facing off with his former tag team partner Hangman Page in an instant classic at Full Gear 2020.
  • 12/2/2020: In the main event of AEW Winter is Coming, even the greatest champions must someday fall, as the indomitable Jon Moxley's epic title reign finally comes to an end at the hands of "The Cleaner" Kenny Omega and his sure-kill Finishing Move, the One-Winged Angel. Finally, Kenny Omega is the AEW World Champion. But that's not all...
    • After Omega's victory, the new champion and his long time friend Don Callis, the executive vice-president of Impact Wrestling who was commentating the match (as he had done before for Omega's match against Hangman Page at Full Gear) and had gotten involved to distract the ref and let Omega cheap shot Moxley, scampered off to the back to drive away, with Callis announcing that if you wanted to see what would happen next you'd have to tune in next Tuesday. That's right, the new AEW Champion is going to appear on the next episode of Impact and the wrestling world has been shaken to its roots!
  • Kenny made his first appearance as AEW World Champion on an Impact Wrestling broadcast instead of the following Dynamite episode alongside his mentor/manager Don Callis. From there, both Callis and Omega cut a promo detailing their history with each other as well as planting the seeds of an alliance of AEW and Impact! What's more, the plan for Omega and Callis's success and conquest dates back literally 27 YEARS when Omega's uncle the Golden Sheik trained Callis in wrestling.
  • Kenny delivered another incredible match in Mexico when he faced off with Laredo Kid for the AAA Mega Championship at Triplemania 28 in a bout that was voted AAA's best match of 2020.
  • Kenny Omega vs Rey Fenix for The AEW World Championship on January 6th 2021
    • What happens next is a major shocker, Don Callis orders Omega to attack the defeated Fenix only for Jon Moxley to appear and attack, looking like he'll get his revenge for what Omega had done. But then, to the shock of everyone, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows appear in the ring and attack Moxley and then they and Omega attack everyone in sight, including several of the Wrestlers at ringside who try to stop them. But then The Bucks hit the ring and appear to try and stop and talk sense into them, only for then they join in and attack as well. The show closes with all five, each of them having been part of Bullet Club standing in the center of the ring and making the symbol.
  • Kenny Omega making his Impact Wrestling in ring debut at Hard to Kill in an absolute banger of a six man tag that ended with Kenny pinning the Impact World Champion Rich Swann clean following a One Winged Angel.
  • Kenny teaming up with the Good Brothers against Jon Moxley, PAC and Rey Fenix in a six-man classic at AEW Beach Break
  • Kenny Omega and KENTA taking on Jon Moxley and Lance Archer on the February 10, 2021 edition of Dynamite in a wild Falls Count Anywhere match that went all over the arena.
  • Kenny Omega announcing that Jon Moxley will get his rematch for The AEW World Title, but then it gets interesting. Omega agrees to the clause in the contract but only if he gets to pick the match. He decides to have for the first time ever in a Major promotion, an 'EXPLODING BARBED WIRED DEATH MATCH!'
  • Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley finally settling their two year long blood feud in an Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch at AEW Revolution 2021. Despite the post-match angle being one of AEW's most embarrassing botches due to faulty pyro, the match itself was pure, beautiful, horrible brutality, as Mox and Kenny built actual storytelling and psychology into a freakin' Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch!
    • During the match Omega seems to have Moxley pinned and is going to win, only for Moxley to kick one of the ropes and set off an explosion to break up the count and blind Omega.
  • Kenny and Matt Sydal having an absolute banger of a match to open the March 24, 2021 edition of Dynamite.
  • Kenny teaming up with the Good Brothers to take on Laredo Kid and the Lucha Bros in a super fun six-man tag match in the main event of the March 31, 2021 edition of Dynamite.
  • In the main event of Impact Wrestling's Rebellion PPV on the 25th of April 2021, Kenny defeated Impact Champion Rich Swann, clean, in a superb Champion vs Champion match to claim the IMPACT World Championship and add it to his growing collection of belts! "The Belt Collector's" campaign of terror continues and no* belt is safe!
  • Kenny defending his AEW World Championship against PAC and Orange Cassidy in an absolutely insane three way match at Double or Nothing 2021.
  • Kenny defending his AEW World Championship against Jungle Boy on the June 26, 2021 edition of Dynamite. The two have an outstanding match as Jungle Boy proves he can hang with the upper echelon of wrestlers in AEW only to eventually succumb to a One Winged Angel.
  • Kenny defending his Impact World Championship against Sami Callihan in a brutal no disqualification match at Slammiversary 2021.
  • The Elite facing off with Hangman Page and The Dark Order in a fantastic 5-on-5 elimination match at Fight for the Fallen 2021.
  • The debut episode of Rampage already started with a bang: Christian Cage won the Impact World Championship from Kenny Omega, with a Killswitch on a steel chair that Omega had tried to cheat Christian with. This was Omega's first singles loss on AEW in two years, and Christian's first world title win in ten years.
  • Kenny Omega facing off with Andrade El Idolo for the AAA Mega Championship at Triplemania 29. As expected, the two have an outstanding match. What wasn't expected was that Kenny would get into it with Ric Flair of all people!
  • The main event of AEW All Out 2021 saw Kenny Omega face off over his AEW World Heavyweight Championship against the man who only a few weeks earlier had beaten him for the Impact World Heavyweight Championship, Christian Cage. Another classic bout that proved both how Kenny is one of the best workers in the world and how Christian remains one of the most consistent and underrated wrestlers of his generation, with both men giving each other everything they had, until Kenny finally won with a One-Winged Angel off the second rope to win.
  • Kenny Omega vs Bryan Danielson had been considered a dream match for years as fans and critics argued back and forth over who the better wrestler truly was. Well, at AEW Grand Slam 2021, dreams became reality as Kenny and Bryan delivered an incredible match which many people have called the greatest television match of all time.
  • The Elite taking on The Dark Order in a super fun Halloween themed eight-man tag on the October 27, 2021 Dynamite.
  • Finally, the climax of a story that had been literally years in the making, as Kenny Omega finally faced his old friend Adam Page for the AEW World Championship at Full Gear 2021. Page battled against the skills of the Best Bout Machine and the interference of Don Callis, fighting with a renewed confidence as he and Kenny traded moves and counters, including a sick springboard top rope liger bomb from Kenny to Page and a massive flying clothesline from the top of the ringpost to Kenny on the outside, sending both men through a table. Following a ref bump when Kenny pulled the official into Page's Buckshot Lariat attempt, Page finally took out Callis when he attempted to use the belt against him, then ducked Kenny's attempt to do the same and took him down with the Deadeye, getting a clear visual pinfall that would have won him the championship if the replacement ref hadn't had to run all the way from the back to count it. Surviving a barrage of offence from Omega, Page even slipped out of a One-Winged Angel and hit Kenny with an OWA of his own, which Kenny only barely kicked out of. Just as things were at their most intense, the Young Bucks limped down to the ring, despite Page's threat that he would ruin them if they screwed him this time... but as Page went for double Buckshot Lariats to finish Kenny off, one to the back and another to the front, they only watched, with Matt giving Page a nod of approval before he delivered the finishing blow. More than two years after he'd failed to defeat Chris Jericho at All Out 2019 to become the first AEW Champion, after years of struggling with self-doubt, Hangman Adam Page finally reaches the top of AEW, as the Dark Order come out to celebrate in the ring with him.
    • Dave Meltzer gave the main event 5 1/2 stars, making it the first time AEW had scored themselves two 5+ rated matches in a single event, and the second time Page and Omega have broken Meltzer's rating scale together since the start of AEWnote .
  • In the aftermath of Kenny's loss to Hangman, respect for Omega went through the roof. It had already been well known that Kenny had been working hurt for a long time, including extra work involved with being AAA Mega Champion and Impact World Champion, but it wasn't until after it was confirmed he'd be taking time off following the conclusion of the story with Page that we learned exactly how badly worn out he actually was. Going into the match at Full Gear, Kenny's shoulder was so badly damaged that he had almost no strength in his arms (he could only weightlift an unloaded bar, which is 45lb on its own, and it was even suggested he couldn't even raise his hands above his head any longer), he had numerous infections, and - most unbelievably of all - it emerged that not only had he been dealing with vertigo (which would cause the entire world to spin around him and which he would have to manually compensate for while wrestling his highly-athletic style), but he'd been dealing with it for three! YEARS! That's longer than AEW had even existed! Kenny had wrestled for years through conditions which should have forced any wrestler to take time off for recovery because he knew he was simply that important to AEW and he had the will and the guts to stick it out.
  • After more than 277 days since his absence due to injuries, Kenny Omega returns to AEW for the first trios championship tournament match with The Young Bucks against La Facción Ingobernable at House of the Dragon 2022
  • With a spot in The Trios Tournament Finals at stake, Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks face Will Ospreay and Aussie Open in The Main Event of the August 31, 2022 Dynamite. The six men pull out all the stops in front of a wild crowd with multiple highlights.
  • The Trios Tournament Finals between Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks facing off with Hangman Page and the Dark Order at All Out 2022 was absolutely incredible as was to be expected from those six.
  • The All Out 2022 Media Scrum with CM Punk and the ensuing altercation in the locker room involving Punk, his trainer Ace Steel, the Young Bucks, and Kenny Omega was anything but awesome. However, Kenny jumping into the fray all because (according to him and the Bucks) he wanted to save Punk's dog Larry from getting involved is awesome. Doubles as a heartwarming moment.
  • Death Triangle defended the Trios Championships against the returning and long-missed inaugural champions The Elite at Full Gear 2022, with the Elite coming out to "Carry On My Wayward Son" by Kansas to a monster pop. A typically incredible match ensued as six of the very best workers in AEW went balls to the wall, but it was the conclusion which shocked everyone as Rey Fenix, who had previously refused PAC's directions to use the ring bell hammer to cheat as he'd previously stated that the three of them were good enough that they didn't need to cheat to win, found himself up on the shoulders of Kenny Omega and facing certain doom in the form of a One-Winged Angel. With no other choice left, Fenix hit Kenny with the hammer and rolled through into a pin, shocking everyone who believed that Death Triangle had just been keeping the belts warm for The Elite while the investigation of Brawl Out was resolved and The Elite would be taking them back as a matter of course. Later on in the show it was announced that Tony Khan had declared Death Triangle's win to be only the first in a best of seven series between the two teams that would play out on TV, possibly all the way up to the new year if it went down to the wire.
  • The Elite and Death Triangle's Best of 7 series will go the distance as Omega and The Bucks rally from a 3-1 deficit to tie it up in an absolutely insane falls count anywhere match at New Year's Smash 2022.
  • After years, Omega finally returned to NJPW to challenge Will Ospreay for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 17.
  • Naturally, Kenny Omega vs. Will Ospreay for the U.S. Heavyweight Championship is a certified banger and arguably the real main event of Wrestle Kingdom 17. Omega won, by the way.
    • Even his very entrance deserves some mention! Initially, people speculated on whether he would come out to "Battle Cry" (since he is actively representing AEW) or his older NJPW theme "Devil's Sky" (which he had used at the press conference a day earlier). Cue the surprise of everyone when he went with a third choice. Fittingly for someone whose persona has been influenced heavily by Final Fantasy VII, Kenny went all out by cosplaying as Sephiroth... and coming out to One-Winged Angel itself.
  • Cue the Flying Pigs! Omega and Okada has teamed up as an unlikely tag team in New Year Dash 2023.
  • The Best of 7 series for The Trios Titles between Death Triangle and The Elite culminates in a Ladder Match on the January 11, 2023 Dynamite. Needless to say the two teams don't disappoint as they go all out as in the end, Omega climbs the ladder and claims the titles winning the belts for his team.
  • The Trios Championships were put on the line at Revolution 2023 as The Elite faced off against the menacing power of the House of Black. Given the talent involved it's no surprise that there were too many brilliant spots and bouts of literally Elite-tier wrestling on display, from the dream match tease of Buddy Matthews opening against Kenny Omega to Brody King's unstoppable rampage and Kenny accidentally V-Triggering Julia Hart off the apron. But in the shocking conclusion, Matthews kicked Nick Jackson out of the air mid-Meltzer Driver and an insolated Matt fell prey to Dante's Inferno, with the House of Black becoming the new Trios Champions.
  • Kenny Omega had been asking to face El Hijo del Vikingo for years and they finally got to have their match on the March 22, 2023 Dynamite. The match did not disappoint as Omega and Vikingo had an absolutely insane match that ended with Kenny picking up the win.
  • After two and a half years apart, Omega and Jon Moxley finally renewed their storied rivalry inside a Steel Cage on the May 10, 2023 Dynamite. Kenny and Mox picked off right where they left off trying to maim each other until in the end Mox managed to pick up the win due to a shocking betrayal by Don Callis.
  • Finally, the Elite and the BCC went to war in Anarchy in the Arena in the main event of Double or Nothing 2023. Just like last year, Jon Moxley's theme 'Wild Thing' was played over and over again on repeat as the match started, only this time being performed live by The Violent Idols, which continued until the Bucks got fed up and superkicked the vocalist when he showed off the BCC T-shirt he was wearing under his jacket. As with the last match, it was gruesome bloody carnage, with spots like Moxley suplexing Kenny Omega onto one of the giant poker chip props he'd studded with barbed wire and broken glass, Claudio Castagnoli piledriving Matt Jackson in the back of a pickup truck parked out the back of the arena, Moxley putting thumbtacks into Matt's mouth and him and Yuta holding him so Claudio could uppercut him in the jaw, Matt superkicking Moxley in the face with a shoe that exploded, and Matt having his shoe and sock yanked off his left foot then being picked up and dropped onto a pile of thumbtacks bare foot first (while everyone got their fair share of pain, it was not a good day at the office for Matt Jackson). In the end, Omega was about to put Wheeler Yuta away with the One-Winged Angel, only for his treacherous former mentor Don Callis to get into the ring and distract him, and then a masked figure to slide in and hit Omega with a jumping knee, revealing himself to be Konosuke Takeshita as Yuta pinned Omega with the Seatbelt Pin to win the match for the Blackpool Combat Club. Dave Meltzer would assess this match as being just as good as the original, giving the Anarchy in the Arena stipulation its second 5-star rating.
  • Omega and Will Ospreay finally running it back after their all-time classic at Wrestle Kingdom at Forbidden Door 2. After getting absolutely brutalized by Kenny inside the Tokyo Dome, Ospreay was out to absolutely maim Omega in front of his home country crowd. These two beat the absolute tar out of each other until finally Ospreay hit Omega with a screwdriver given to him by Don Callis and following a sickening Tiger Driver 91, a hidden blade and a stormbreaker pick up the win over Omega in an absolutely incredible match. Dave Meltzer would rate this no less than the greatest singles match in AEW history, giving it 6 stars.
  • Omega and Vikingo putting on an absolute barnburner once again at AAA Triplemania XXXI this time for the AAA Mega Championship that Omega never lost.
  • The recently reunited Golden Elite of Kenny, Kota Ibushi, Hangman Page & The Young Bucks taking on the Blackpool Combat Club's Jon Moxley, PAC, Konosuke Takeshita, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta in an absolutely brutal Blood and Guts match at Blood and Guts 2023.
  • AEW announcing that Kenny, along with Hangman Page and The Young Bucks, had signed a long term extension with the company basically ensuring that after all the trials and tribulations of the past year that Kenny and The Bucks would likely retire with the company that they helped found.
  • Kenny reuniting with his two most prominent tag partners, Kota Ibushi and Hangman Page to take on Konosuke Takeshita, Jay White and Juice Robinson in a phenomenal six man tag match in front of 81,000 people in Wembley Stadium at All In 2023.
  • Kenny taking on Konosuke Takeshita in an absolutely incredible match at All Out 2023. The two men spent the entire match brutalizing each other until Takeshita was able to pick up the clean victory following a knee strike.
  • On the 10/28/23 edition of AEW Collision, AEW Heavyweight Champion MJF and Kenny Omega faced off for the first time ever, and it did not disappoint, with the Combat Pragmatist Maxwell doing acrobatic moves himself to keep up with Kenny's Combat Parkour. MJF even ended up getting a clean pin on Kenny, which is a rarity in AEW. The match was indeed a PPV-level bout for the ages.
