Awesome / Ghost in the Shell (1995)

• The awesome invisible fight scene where Major Kusanagi chases down and beats the crap out of the thug while completely hidden by thermoptic camoflage. He doesn't have a prayer as she dances around him, ties him into knots and hurls him violently through the air, eventually finishing him off with a rapid combo and a brutal roundhouse kick that knocks him senseless, punctuated with an awesome Repeat Cut.
• Near the climax of the 1995 Ghost in the Shell movie, we see Major Kusanagi taking on a light tank with nothing but an assault rifle and a pair of grenades (plus a late assist from Batou's "Standard-Issue Big Gun"). It's a thing of beauty that inspired many later action scenes, up to and including The Matrix's famous lobby shootout, and if anything it's better done than all of them.
• During the above scene, Batou gets one when he proceeds to casually pump the tank full of holes with his big gun.
