  • Reggie nails a fleeing Luther with the door of Jack's car.
  • Eddie Murphy walking into a redneck bar (in San Francisco?) to find any information on Ganz or Billy Bear. With nothing but a badge and a badass attitude. By the time he walks out of there, he's humiliated every redneck in the bar, made a Shout-Out to Blazing Saddles, and turned himself into a Hollywood superstar. In pretty much five minutes of screentime.
    • Jack clobbering a redneck who tries to flee the interrogation.
"Some of us citizens are behind you all the way, officer!"
  • Jack and Reggie's alley fight, with the streetwise Combat Pragmatist Reggie holding his own against the bigger, stronger Jack is a highlight.
  • The subway chase, for some.
  • The chief (Capt. Haden)is in the midst of seriously (and not totally unjustifiably) chewing out Jack for losing Ganz and Billy Bear, and initially Cates just sits there and takes it, without uttering a word. But when Haden continues to belittle Reggie for being a lowly convict, Jack then jumps to Hammond's defense, stating that he's got more brains and guts than any partner he's ever had. Cates' impassioned defense of Reggie shows just how far they've come in their relationship, building a friendship based on mutual respect.
  • Jack's takedown of Ganz in the finale to the first film, complete with cool-assed Pre-Mortem One-Liner:
Jack: You're done, end of story.
