  • Battle animations change to reflect a unit's stats. For instance, a low-level Alear simply sidesteps an arrow, while a high-level Alear instead parries it out of the air with their sword.
  • When Alear calls upon the power of the Emblem Ring on their first encounter of the Corrupted, they proceed to take them down with Marth's help. The choreographed display of two sword wielders clashing with an axe is not particularly flashy but serves as an effective preview of the feats Alear will grow into over the course of the game.
  • When all seems lost in Chapter 11, Ivy shows up with her retainers, bringing the party two Engage rings- Lucina and Lyn- to even the odds and enable their escape from Veyle, the Four Hounds and their Corrupted minions. Meanwhile, Zelkov manages to steal the Draconic Time Crystal from under Veyle's nose. Those three characters quite possibly saved the heroes' lives.
  • In Chapter 14, Hortensia takes Seforia hostage and demands that the heroes turn over the rings in exchange for Seforia's life. Neither of Seforia's children are intimidated, knowing that giving up the Emblem rings would be a betrayal of all their mother stood for, while Alear calls Hortensia's bluff by pointing out that Hortensia doesn't have it in her to make Fogado and Timerra orphans like her. Even Seforia herself doesn't waver, telling Hortensia to get on with killing her if that's what she wants.
  • At the end of Chapter 17, Veyle tricks Zephia into thinking her evil side is in control, then orders Zephia to hand her Sigurd's Ring. Zephia complies, at which point Veyle throws Alear the Emblem, despite thinking they still hate her for her evil side's actions and knowing she will have to face Zephia's wrath.
  • Alear comes back from the dead. Twice. In one chapter. Both times, Alear has every reason to give up, to satisfy themself with "I tried", and the first time it even looks like their sister is with them, and they could rest together. But Alear says no. They come up with a better idea— to come back as a Corrupted. Alear asks to be revived, at least temporarily, as one of the things that's been leaving them freaked out the whole game and had them trying to come up with excuses to run instead of fighting them. The plan buys just enough time to invoke all 12 Emblems, but the strain causes Alear's corpse to give out and Veyle's power is being actively rejected. When Alear collapses again, it looks like it's really over... But Alear wants to keep fighting. The dragon child's Heroic Willpower speaks to the 12 rings, and Marth's voice reaches out. Through a miraculous power the Emblems could only ever use once, Alear's strength of heart and desire to keep fighting alongside their friends for the sake of the world leads to Marth and the others turning Alear into an Emblem. Alear's body rises up surrounded by a blue aura with the Libération in hand, their hair turns completely blue, and their eyes open as they pose in the air, just like every other Emblem. Alear, the protagonist, is the Fire Emblem!
    • The other Emblems explain that Alear is unique, as a physical being that has become an Emblem rather than simply being a spirit in a ring. Alear's Emblem power is contained in their ring like a dragonstone... the same kind of dragonstone that Alear went an entire millenium without seeing or being within miles of. And the post-credits scene shows Alear without their Emblem Ring on either hand, implying that this one-time miracle power has fully restored Alear's life.
    • Veyle has her own moment by taking control of herself to the point she destroys Sombron's helmet and permanently ends her evil side before reviving Alear as a Corrupted. Bonus points for turning millennia of daddy issues into a stone-cold one-liner.
Evil Veyle: Stop... stop it right now! I don’t want to go! Help me, Father! I beg you!
Veyle: Papa isn’t coming. He doesn’t care. It's time now. Time to say goodbye.
  • Have Veyle fight Zephia in Chapter 23, and she gives a surprisingly epic Pre-Mortem One-Liner. Remember, this is Veyle we're talking about. Mixes with a bit of Black Comedy on Veyle's part.
Zephia: I hated you. No, that's not right... I was indifferent to you.
    Veyle: ...
Zephia: Lord Sombron's puppet. That's all you were. A thing to be used and cast off. Yet somehow... I knew this day would come.
Veyle: The day I would kill you? No wonder you didn't like me.
  • When Sombron closes the portal, seemingly erasing the Emblems, Alear refuses to give up, and with the help of Veyle and the rest of the playable units, Alear summons all the Emblems, calling out their invocations one by one, and manages to summon all of them, as pictured. With all 13 Emblems together, including Alear, the party finally defeats the evil Fell Dragon once and for all, this time killing him rather than just sealing him away again.
    • The entire final battle. After going One-Winged Angel, Sombron has one more trick up his sleeve: summoning Dark Emblems, Emblem version of the Big Bads of the Emblems worlds. This means you face not only Sombron, but every former Final Boss in the series, which includes world-ending threats like Grima, Ashera and Loptousnote  alongside Hate Sinks like Ashnard and Veld. And you get to take them all down. Each of the Emblems gets special dialogue with their Arch-Enemy, along with an effectiveness bonus for massive damage.
  • Having Hortensia fight Alternate Ivy in Fell Xenologue Chapter 4 results in Alternate Ivy coldly insulting her sister and demanding that she show Alternate Ivy respect as the queen. After Hortensia gets over her initial shock, her response shows that she isn't affected in the least by Alternate Ivy's words and that she cares a lot about her own alternate self's well-being.
Hortensia: This is how you always talk to the Hortensia of this world, isn't it? Then I'm glad you said all of that to me. Because for once at least, she won't have to hear it!
    • Zelkov's conversation with Alternate Ivy also deserves mention, as Alternate Ivy is initially excited to see Zelkov seemingly Back from the Dead, but then quickly dismisses him after he rejects her offer to join her. Zelkov's response?
Zelkov: Thank you for *saying* so. You have just made this a great deal easier for me. I will end you now. And I will *feel* nothing.
