  • Jules scaring Nate in the first episode when he harasses her at McKay’s party.
  • Rue confronting and threatening Nate in the season 1 finale after learning of everything he's done throughout the show so far; it's especially enjoyable how she refuses to stand down when he taunts her about her drug addiction and her unstable relationship with Jules.
Rue: Because I personally have no problem walking into any police station and telling them that Nate Jacobs' daddy, likes to fuck little kids.
  • Fezco beating the absolute shit out of Nate for everything he's done to him, Rue, and Jules. He smashes a bottle against the side of his face, starts pummeling his head on the counter, takes him to the floor to pound his face in even further, doesn't let him get a single hit in, and even shoves an intervening Cassie off of him to keep laying the beatdown. For many fans, this was one of the most satisfying moments of the whole show and well worth the wait between seasons on account of how despicable Nate had become and how much he was due for a fresh can of whoop-ass.
    • Fez's feigning of friendliness with Nate in their exchange beforehand sells it even more, down to the last thing he says before unleashing hell:
Nate: The last time we talked, didn't you say you wanted to kill me?
Fez: It's a new year, playboy.
    • Said beatdown was so bad, it prompted Nate to go to the hospital, and it's no exaggeration to state that had people not been there to pull Fez off, he likely could've killed Nate with just his right hand.
  • Cassie actually startling Nate a bit with her Insane Troll Logic during their argument in Season 2, Episode 4, with her stating "I AM CRAZIER!" Slightly undercut by the fact she willingly returns to Nate two episodes later, but still.
  • A flashback shows a young Maddy beating up a girl for being racist. Bonus points for how she uses her surroundings by slamming a locker door repeatedly against the girl's head.
  • While Kat is ashamed to not have any reason to be satisfied with her relationship with Ethan, she makes the worst decision she possibly can by gaslighting him into breaking up with her. Ethan sees through her act and politely ends the conversation and their relationship, expressing disappointment in her rather than anger.
Ethan: You didn't live up to my expectations 'cause I expect you to at least be honest.
    Kat: I am being honest.
Ethan: All right, I don’t even think you believe that, but, you know, that’s beside the point because I think we need to break up.
  • The Season 2 finale has many moments of this:
    • Maddy completely humiliating Cassie by beating her up during the play (in front of the audience, for that matter) after she hijacks it in an attempt to bully Lexi. Doubles as a funny moment due to the sheer insanity that went down during the whole ordeal. After everything Cassie has done throughout the season such as sleeping with her friend's ex-boyfriend, refusing to take responsibility for it, needlessly lashing out at Lexi and her mother, and outright assaulting the actress playing her, it felt nothing short of satisfying to see her finally be pummeled.
Maddy: Don’t worry. This is just the beginning.
      • The play in itself is one for Lexi. The writing, acting, stage direction and production values are all really high. She’s acting on stage and running the show between scenes and she’s absolutely killing it. It’s the most confident we’ve ever seen her. The audience is loving it too. By the end everyone’s laughing and cheering it on. But the absolute best moment is when Ethan, playing an obvious expy of Nate, leads a gloriously homoerotic dance number set to “Holding out for a Hero”. Maddy calls Lexi “a fucking G” and Nate is so pissed off he storms out.
    • Faye growing a spine in order to tell Fezco about Chester and Mouse's plan against him and Ashtray. On top of that, while her, Fez and Ashtray are being pressed by Custer, she executes a ballsy plan — she drops the glass she's holding, ducks out of Custer's sight and begins cleaning the mess only to stop and give Fez a secret shushing gesture to keep quiet, after which she sets up a lie that Custer knew that Laurie had killed Mouse, not Ashtray. This single-handedly won her the respect of a lot of fans undecided about whether she was a valuable addition to the story.
    • After getting away with his crimes for so long, Cal gets arrested by none other than Nate, his son, and it's implied that it was Nate's first thing he wanted to do against his father after finding out about his sexual encounters with underage teens.
    • As sad and pointless as this is, Ashtray’s last stand against the police had shades of this: at this point, he made it clear that he was not going out without a fight.
