    For Their Sakes

Chapter Two: Lost (And Found)

  • Hawks' one-sided defeat of Stain. The Hero Killer that gave Midoriya, Todoroki, and Iida trouble in the previous timeline doesn't have the chance to react before Hawks pins him to a wall with his feathers and cuffs him. He even saves Tensei and prevents his Career-Ending Injury!

Chapter Four: Bully

  • Endeavor tries to force Hawks to rescind his internship offer to Shoto but Hawks stands his ground and refuses to budge, saying it's Shoto's choice. He stands up to his idol, superior (in Hero Rankings and age), and the man who's currently threatening him all to give his soon-to-be intern a choice he never had.

Chapter Five: Giving Reasons

  • Hawks shuts down Stain's warped ideals and points out every flaw in his mindset, including listing the names and good deeds of the "corrupt Heroes" the Hero Killer has murdered for his "perfect Hero Society". The self-righteous Stain can't come up with a good rebuttal that doesn't rely on his messed-up perspective.
  • Hawks defeats Stain again in a Curb-Stomp Battle. Making it doubly awesome is he managed to do it while Stain has Iida held hostage. Plus Hawks accidentally uses Orange's Quirk during the fight to make him release Iida.
  • Hawks use Orange's Quirk by telekinetically throwing his feathers and making them explode on contact. Bakugo's Explosion Quirk now has long-range capabilities.

Chapter Thirty-Seven: Thanatophobia

  • Hawks finally realizes that fighting to defend himself from his abusers is okay- and then does so.
What was selfless about letting Kaetsu hurt him? Who would it help if he remained trapped inside this prison? What would he accomplish by refusing to fight back? (...) He did not own Hawks. Hawks could fight him.
    For Our Sakes

Chapter Seven: Doxophobia

  • Hawks ignores his Commission training and the Voices' disapproval in order to offer to help Twice escape All For One. It shows just how far he's come from the abused Hero he used to be, a Hero who wouldn't dare to offer to help redeem a Villain out of the conditioning-based belief that he would be evil for doing so. Hawks will do what he thinks is right, others' opinions be damned.

Chapter Eight: Atelophobia

  • Compress threatens to use his Quirk to remove Bakugo's arm. Result: Hawks and the Voices Merge and soundly defeat Compress and his Nomu. They tear through at least four Nomu like they're made of wet paper and throw Compress away from Bakugo and through a tree faster than he can react. The battle is so one-sided that the arrogant and overconfident Compress is left begging for mercy.
  • Due to Hawks' presence, Aizawa's preparation, and the students' additional training, no one is kidnapped by the League and Kamino is avoided completely. Bakugo is safe and Ragdoll never has her Quirk taken.
    Mockingjay: Origin
  • Katniss uses her Mockery Quirk to trick President Snow into letting her into his bunker by pretending to be a guard. She kills the orchestrator of the Quirk Games with one shot.
  • Haymitch (who has avoided the spotlight since his fall from grace) emerges back into the public eye and throws his weight around to get the Heroes and police to investigate the missing children cases across America. He causes enough of a stir that he manages to uncover and locate the secret Quirk Games in a few weeks. These Games have been going on for twenty-five years and are backed by the powerful Capitol Hero Committee but he exposes them. So not only did Haymitch expose a secret group that has been kidnapping and murdering kids for over two decades, he did it despite the Capitol's control over all aspects of American Hero Society, including the news. Haymitch played the Capitol's Hero Society game, used their rules and his knowledge of how Hero Society runs against them, and won. All to find and rescue Katniss.
  • Katniss uses the lessons Haymitch passed on to her to avoid getting trapped by the Capitol. When she leaves them, they cannot legally stop her.
  • Katniss (and Beetee) exposes the Capitol's misdeeds to the world by leaking information to the internet, where their every attempt to plug the leaks fail or backfire. She leaves the rest of American Hero Society to tear them apart and they never come back.
  • The Capitol's public fall also forces American Hero Society to change itself to prevent exploitation. Katniss eradicated some of Hero Society's corruption all on her own.
  • Katniss kills President Coin with an arrow to the eye. Someone (whose identity is never revealed) covers for her and claims Coin committed suicide. All of America believes it. Sure, her actions edge towards villainy (but not really because it's Coin) but Katniss literally got away with murder.
  • Katniss' success in protecting Hawks from his handler. After losing Finnick and Prim to the Capitol, she gets a definite win against the Hero Commission by forcing them to arrest the handler that harassed Hawks or risk facing public scrutiny like the Capitol.
