• Batman - The Determinator extraordinaire of the DCU - is driven insane by everything Joker did to him. The one character whose basic definition involve being able to wade through the worst darkness and come out fighting is left a broken mess. The only way to save him? Someone else must take on the memories - all the horror, pain and despair he went through. Superman - the easy going Knight in Shining Armor - readily agrees to take the psychic bullet for his best friend. The memories that broke Batman? Next time Supes is seen, he has clearly overcome the trauma involved, and is cheerfully chatting to Bruce who has no idea what happened.
