  • Cage's transformation from an arrogant coward who wanted nothing to do with battle to a savvy, Mimic-slaying powerhouse who's able to keep up with Rita.
    • It takes a special kind of nerve to endure what Cage and Rita had been through (multiple times) and coming out of the other side intact.
  • Any time Rita uses her sword. A Cool Sword that is made from a downed rotor blade.
  • Cage makes his escape from PT with J-squad by rolling underneath a moving Jeep.
  • Cage dodging Skinner's punches and taking him out in under a minute with his eyes closed.
Cage: Guys... can we not do this today?
  • The Jackets in general, and Rita and Cage's in particular. Your basic leathernecks tearing ass across a battlefield at Olympic sprint speeds wearing half a ton of weapons and armor as if it's... well, a Jacket! This is the Raytheon/Sarcos armor, all grown up. The only reason the aliens are winning is because they're Save Scumming.
  • During the climax, Cage and Rita crash the quadcopter into the Louvre Pyramid. Cage is sent flying through the glass and seriously injures his leg. He looks up at Rita and says "We've been through worse" all the while grinning like it's nothing.
  • J squad are pretty awesome when you consider the only time you see them in battle without the mimics cheating (at the Louvre) they kick ass. On the beach all of the squad (apart from Kimmell) manage to fight their way to the crater and the Mimics seem to hide a mimic specifically at that site on the beach just to kill them and Sgt Farrell.
  • When Rita and Cage hit the beach after training him up to speed, and proceed to wipe the floor with every Mimic they come across, leaving J-Squad dumbfounded at their combined level of badassery.
Cage: (butchers a dozen mimics in less than a minute)
Griff: Hey, Sarge? The new guy — what's his name again?
  • Cage's transformation from wimp who pleadingly asks Griff to show him where the safety is, to ordering him around like a badass.
Cage: I need three more clips of five-five-six, 8 grenades and an extra battery.
    [Griff hesitates]
    Cage: Get it.
  • The beach battle in general; the first time we see it, it moves so dizzily quick that we're just as panicky as Cage. It's been likened to the opening of Saving Private Ryan at three times the speed.
  • The final battle, full stop. After plowing their way through the Mimics and entering the Louvre to find the Omega Mimic, everyone in J Squad makes a Heroic Sacrifice so that Cage can make it to the Omega. But right as he's almost reached it with a belt full of grenades, the Alpha Mimic comes and impales him, causing him to drop the grenades. As all seems lost, Cage turns around, flashes the Alpha a small grin, and opens his hand, revealing a handful of pins. The Alpha has an appropriate reaction before the grenades explode and kill them, Omega and all.
  • The ending. An unambiguously, gleefully happy ending. White text on a black background: "DIRECTED BY DOUG LIMAN." A surprisingly appropriate pop song blasting over the credits. Hello there, The Bourne Identity nostalgia.
