• She gave a one million dollar donation to Moderna, which they actually credit with helping them develop a viable vaccine for the COVID-19 Pandemic ten times faster.
• While filming for the Netflix holiday movie Christmas on the Square, she saved her nine-year-old co-star, Talia Hill, from a moving vehicle by pulling her out of the way. Appropriately, Parton portrays an angel in said film.
• As if it's not impressive enough that one person wrote both "Jolene" and "I Will Always Love You," she wrote them both on the same day. She's confirmed this both in interviews and in documentary evidence, modestly putting it down to having "a good writing day" in 1972. That would be an understatement.
• Dolly Parton's "Imagination Library" charity has given away over 100 million books for free to children around the world to encourage literacy, as well as giving tens of thousands of dollars in scholarships, awards, and other educational support.
