When it comes to a series like Demon Slayer, you can expect a lot of awesome and badass moments in the series that will make your jaws drop. Especially when it's in beautiful animation.

    Final Selection Arc
  • Tanjiro opens the story with his Big Brother Instinct showing. Despite finding most of his family dead, Tanjiro carries the injured Nezuko on his back, in the middle of a winter storm, to ensure his last remaining younger sibling won't die.
    • Tanjiro fighting Giyu, who would later be revealed as one of the strongest demon slayers thanks to being a Pillar, with the intention of protecting Nezuko. This happens after Nezuko turned into a demon and tried to eat him. Despite being outclassed, Tanjiro fights with the best of his limited ability, even throwing a hatchet after tricking Giyu with a feint. While he loses, Giyu is still impressed.
    • Nezuko using her newly gained demonic strength to protect her brother. While Giyu ultimately wins, she gives him more of a fight than Tanjiro. Not only that, Giyu was so impressed at Nezuko clinging hard enough to her humanity to protect her brother that he decided to help the siblings turn Nezuko back to normal. He gives Nezuko a bamboo muzzle to prevent her from eating meat and he gives Tanjiro a letter so that he can meet his master and begin training as a demon slayer.
  • Nezuko's first real example of her demonic powers is just a small taste of what's to come but no less awesome: she and Tanjiro have just come upon the site of a demon attack and said demon attacks Tanjiro, pinning him to the ground. When she regains enough of her composure to function again, with tears of sadness for the victims and anger at the demon still on her face, she flies in from the side and kicks the demon's head off in one go!
  • The first demonstration of what "Total Concentration: Water Breathing" is capable of is seen at the end of Tanjiro's Final Selection Training. He slices this big ol' rock in half. The set-up is even better, dueling the ghost of his predecessor as a demon-slayer trainee, and thinking it was the mask that he sliced.
  • Final Selection shows the fruits of Tanjiro's training. He effortlessly kills a pair of lesser demons while looking for a particular target. He even saves another candidate. The arc's climax is a minor Colossus Climb against a demon who made it his hobby to kill anyone trained by Tanjiro's mentor.
  • Tanjiro manages to kill the Hand Demon who has been making a point to kill all of Urokodaki's students.

    First Mission Arc
  • During the first mission, Tanjiro manages to defeat all three selves of the Swamp Demon.
    • To elaborate: Tanjiro first goes into the Demon's Swamp and is able to defeat the first two selves of the demon while barely able to breathe underwater.
    • Then he gets out of the swamp just in time to save Nezuko from the third one and defeats him with a Lateral Water Wheel.

    Asakusa Arc
  • Due to Yushiro's Blood Demon Art, Tanjiro is able to see Yahaba's arrows and when he is pushed around by them, Tanjiro is able to use the power of the arrows to engulf them in his Water Breathing form and defeat Yahaba.
  • Despite not having eaten a single human, Nezuko is strong enough to keep up with Susamaru, able to kick her temari ball without any trouble.
  • Lady Tamayo manages to trick Susamaru into speaking Muzan's surname, which triggers his curse and kills her.

    Tsuzumi Mansion Arc
  • After an episode and a half of cowering, Zenitsu falls asleep while trying to protect a child from a demon in episode 12. When all looks doomed, he unveils his Thunder Breathing technique and beheads the demon in one fell swoop, all while fast asleep.
  • Inosuke's Establishing Character Moment: a huge demon corners him and Inosuke ends up slicing his arms with one smooth swipe of his swords with his self-taught beast breathing and then beheads him just as smoothly. Unlike Tanjiro and Zenitsu, who had to work really hard to learn their breathing techniques, Inosuke ended up creating his own.
  • Tanjiro eventually learns the trick behind Kyogai's drum-based Blood Demon Art, reads his moves, and manages to strike him down despite still recovering from the wounds he suffered in the previous arc.
  • The young boy Kyogai abducted manages to steal Kyogai's drum after another demon cuts it off, a bit of quick thinking that most likely saved his life.

    Natagumo Mountain Arc
  • Tanjiro hears THUNDER Breathing.
  • Inosuke's Beast Breathing form Spatial Awareness finding the Mother Spider Demon.
  • Tanjiro's idea to stop the Demon Slayers which are controlled by the Mother Spider Demon is to throw them and leave them hanging off trees due to the Demon's threads so they can no longer be controlled.
  • Tanjiro and Inosuke's teamwork helps them defeat the Mother Spider Demon's strongest doll.
  • Despite being affected by the Brother Spider Demon's poison, Zenitsu uses Thunderclap and Flash Sixfold to defeat the Demon.
  • During Inosuke's fight against the Father Spider Demon, the former uses Insane Troll Logic to form a plan: attack his arm with his sword, when that sword gets stuck in his super tough skin, he keeps on striking the first sword with his second sword. It works!
  • Giyu pulling a Big Damn Heroes and saving Inosuke from the Father Spider Demon before he crushes Inosuke's skull by cutting off his hand. Then he uses Water Breathing Fourth Form Striking Tide to defeat the demon.
  • Tanjiro uses Water Breathing Tenth Form Constant Flux with a broken sword and is able to cut through Rui's threads.
  • The climax of the fight between Tanjiro and Rui in episode 19. Tanjiro unleashes the final form of the Water Breathing technique, which allows him to cut through Rui's extremely tough Razor Floss until Rui uses his Demon Blood Art to make the threads even stronger. Tanjiro sees his life flash before his eyes and remembers a breathing technique and dance his father taught him, turning his Water Breathing into the Hinokami Kagura (Dance of the Fire God).
  • Meanwhile, Nezuko unlocks her own Demon Blood Art, Exploding Blood, burning away all threads that were cutting into her as well as giving Tanjiro's sword a boost, cutting through Rui's neck. All this is accompanied by "The Song of Tanjiro Kamado" and some of the most spectacular animation in this anime so far (and that's saying a lot for this show).
  • As Tanjiro activates Hinokami Kagura, Rui has a massive Oh, Crap! moment and starts retreating... which is not enough, because no matter how many steps back he takes, Tanjiro is already there to strike at him.
  • When it appears to be over, it's revealed that Rui cut off his neck to avoid being killed by Tanjiro.
  • Giyu arrives just in time to save Tanjiro from being killed by Rui, and uses Water Breathing Eleventh Form: Dead Calm which he created and which easily dissipates Rui's threads. Then he effortlessly cuts off Rui's head.
  • Shinobu may not be able to cut off demons' heads like the other Hashira, but she definitely deserves her rank as she kills the Older Sister Spider Demon by coating her sword in poison and attacking the demon. She also concocted wisteria-based antivenom, saving everyone affected by the Brother Spider Demon's poison.

    Rehabilitation Training Arc
  • Tanjiro unhesitatingly attacks Sanemi despite him being a Hashira because the latter stabbed Nezuko. While most members of the Demon Slayer Corps are rather intimidated by the Hashira, Tanjiro's bold enough to tell Sanemi that if he can't tell good demons from bad, he doesn't deserve his position. Even Tengen is openly impressed by this during the Hashira meeting with the master.
  • When Tanjiro broke out of the binds, Obanai was shocked to the point that Giyuu was able to hold him back from going to assist Nezuko. Even while he was in trouble, Giyuu didn't hesitate to help his master's other student.
  • Nezuko manages to restrain herself from drinking Sanemi's blood. Enough visual proof to convince everyone in the room, even Sanemi himself, that she can resist her urge for human blood.
    • It becomes even more impressive when it's revealed later on that Sanemi's blood is rare even for a Marechi, so this says a lot about Nezuko's willpower.
  • English dub example: The fact that Aleks Le's delivery on Zenitsu's tantrum was taken the day after his car accident back in January 2020 yet he still nailed the performance, that's really impressive!
  • Zenitsu was able to get into the training right away with Aoi, and he made it look effortless.
  • Really, just the great lengths Shinobu goes through to get Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu back in shape. Special mention goes through Shinobu understanding Inosuke's and Zenitsu's personalities so well that she uses their triggers (downplaying Inosuke's physical ability to go through easy training, offering affectionate encouragement to Zenitsu) to motivate the boys in getting through their training. And it worked.

    Mugen Train Arc
  • Tanjiro hears THUNDER Breathing again!
  • We get to see the Flame Breathing in action when Kyojuro effortlessly defeats two demons.
    • Even if the above turns out to be a dream, Kyojuro backs up his skill in reality when he moves faster than Tanjiro can perceive, cutting away at Enmu's flesh in a way that puts his regeneration at bay. Kyojuro bolts off to secure five cars by himself, while Tanjiro can only manage two at best.
  • When Tanjiro and Nezuko start getting overwhelmed by Enmu's attacks, Kyojuro and Zenitsu show up in a nick of time, having just broken out of Enmu's spell.
  • Tanjiro discovers a way to bring himself out of Enmu's dream spell by cutting his dream self, and uses this, along with his tragic memories and willpower to prevent himself from falling again. Inosuke is able to resist through sheer determination and dumb luck (his boar mask got in the way) He soon saves Tanjiro from cutting himself for real when Enmu tries tricking him into doing it.
  • After Tanjiro and Inosuke manage to find Enmu's spine following the latter fusing with the train, they use their attacks to cut the meat and the bone, killing him.
  • When the fight seems to be over, another demon appears: Upper Demon 3 Akaza, who immediately tries to kill Tanjiro but Kyojuro stops him just in time.
    • During their fight, Akaza asks why he protected a weakling like Tanjiro, Kyojuro later counters that he's anything but weak.
  • Kyojuro putting up quite the fight against Upper Moon 3 Akaza. The demon is so impressed by Kyojuro's ability that he considers him a Worthy Opponent and he asks him several times during their battle to become a demon so they can keep fighting for eternity. Kyojuro shoots down the offer every single time, making it clear that he would rather sacrifice himself with his humanity intact than become a demon just for survival.
    • Near the end of the fight, the two use their attacks in a final clash. We get to see the strongest Flame Breathing form, ninth form, Rengoku, clash with Akaza's attack. Unfortunately, it is not enough as Akaza impaled him with his hand, but Kyojuro gives every last ounce of energy to try to deliver the finishing blow. He even uses his mortal wounding to keep Akaza pinned, trapping Akaza between a rock and a hard place as he would either die by Kyojuro's sword or from sun exposure. It's all for naught as Akaza barely manages to escape at the last moment, but at that point, he's gone to put his all into running to safety.
  • Tanjiro's speech to Akaza after he flees following him mortally wounding Kyojuro, telling him that Kyojuro is the winner of the fight because he managed to protect everyone in the train. It also doubles as both heartwarming and tearjerking.
  • The fact that despite having a hole in his chest, Kyojuro does not die immediately after his battle against Akaza, and lasts enough to have a final chat with the main trio.
  • In the end, the five Demon Slayers managed to protect all the people on the train.
  • The movie enhances every moment of this arc with spectacular Visual Effects of Awesome.

    Red Light District Arc
  • Zenitsu, sensing and knowing full well that Daki is a mighty demon, clasps onto her hand while wide awake to stop her from bloodily beating the junior courtesan that did not clean her room perfectly and demands with cold anger that she immediately stops bullying the little girl without a sliver of his characteristic tearful terror. This moment is Zenitsu's first step from a lecherous coward to a true hero among heroes.
  • Tengen Uzui's speed: he is so fast that Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke are barely capable of following him. He's even declared as the fastest Hashira runner in the Demon Slayer corps.
  • Chapter 81:
    • Shinjuro reveals in the letter sent to Tanjiro that, after Kyojuro abandoned what his father taught him, he trained himself and became a Hashira with a book that only had three volumes.
    • The flashback to Yoriichi's battle with Muzan, especially when watching in hindsight and you realise what that strange roaring mass of red lines that keeps interrupting actually is.
    • Just as Daki gloats to Tanjiro why exactly she kills people willy-nilly (even beyond the need to feed), Tanjiro—clearly coming from a combined high of autopiloting his breathing technique and his Berserk Button being pressed—decides to cut loose and eliminate Daki by himself. Daki tries to deter him with a multi-directional attack with her sash that intends to cross-cut him (not unlike Rui's Blood Demon Art). Just to show how much Tanjiro's grown after months of training and recovery (coupled with his Tranquil Fury at play), he manages to use the Hinokami Kagura: Burning Sun, a spinning attack that not only dispels the attack (faster than he ever deflected Rui's, and almost about as fast as Rengoku attacking), but even burns them off Daki that she actually winces in pain.
  • Chapter 82:
    • Nezuko arrives just in time to help Tanjiro in the fight against Daki.
    • Nezuko almost immediately regenerates after Daki cuts off her right leg and left arm. Daki notes that the regeneration is as fast as an Upper Moon's.
    • Nezuko's new demon form, with a horn growing and her body evolving to maturity.
  • Chapter 84: Tanjiro stops out-of-control Nezuko from killing a passerby.
    • Uzui cuts off Daki's head before either she or Tanjiro notices, while he says that she is not the true Upper Moon 6.
  • Chapter 85: Tanjiro manages to make Nezuko gain control of herself by singing a lullaby that their mother used to sing to them when they were younger.
  • Chapter 87: Uzui reveals that Muichiro and Himejima became Hashira in just two months.
    • Uzui is implied to have admired Kyojuro, saying that he could never become like him.
    • He is able to resist Gyutaro's poison since he developed resistance to it.
  • Chapter 88: Tanjiro sees Kyojuro in Uzui when the latter proclaims that he will defeat Daki and Gyutaro.
  • Chapter 89-91/S3 E9:
    • Hinatsuru arrives just in time to throw several poisoned kunai in Gyutaro's direction. These kunai are eventually revealed to be coated in wisteria poison, which gives Gyutaro no small amount of inconvenience as it prevents him from reliably regenerating
    • Our three protagonists execute a well-coordinated attack pattern in order to occupy and subdue Daki. Zenitsu (who works best as a hit-and-run Fragile Speedster) and Tanjiro (who was already beaten up at the time) focus on engaging Daki's sash tentacles, allowing Inosuke to just speed ahead and cut off Daki's head (in a pretty unique and gruesome way too). He then runs away with it so she cannot regenerate.
    • On a villainous note, Gyutaro manages to catch up with Inosuke, no worse for wear, and stab him straight through the chest to retrieve Daki's head. It is then immediately revealed that he has just finished subduing Uzui—who's left bleeding on the ground and his left hand severed. He piles up on this by releasing a swarm of blood scythes that levels the street corner they're fighting on.
  • Chapter 92-94/S3 E10: The episode, being the climactic moment of the fight against Daki and Gyutaro, involves all of our three demon slayers pushing themselves to the limit (even while battling grievous injuries)—not to mention Uzui, who gets back into the fight with his left hand missing. The animation, visuals, music, and voice acting, surprisingly enough, manage to surpass even the much-celebrated S1E19 fight between Tanjiro and Rui—with both reviews and public reaction in near-unison singing its praises.
    • Tanjiro headbutts Gyutaro while stabbing him with one of the poisoned kunai from Hinatsuru's attack from earlier.
    • Gyutaro is shocked by Tanjiro's willpower just as the latter finally manages to nearly cut off his head.
    • Uzui pulls a Big Damn Heroes and saves Tanjiro just in time from Gyutaro, who has just regenerated and nearly blinded Tanjiro with one of his sickles. Uzui then reveals that his time down actually gave him the opportunity to fully map Gyutaro's attack patterns into a musical score that he can in turn disrupt with a tempo of his own.
    • This allows the Sound Hashira to partake in one of the most insane unlimited blade work exchanges in all of anime. Their swordsmanship clashes level what's left of the district in an insanely flamboyant display. The God of Festivals VS The Demon of Debt-Collectors.
    • Tanjiro manages to keep up with this battle and then tries to exploit an opening Uzui provides him to finally cut off Gyutaro's head, while Gyutaro manages to hook stab Tanjiro under his chin, his sickle sticking up through Tanjiro's mouth, the boy powers through the pain and poison with sheer will to sink his katana through the Waxing Moon's neck regardless. In the process, Tanjiro is the first to manifest the Demon Slayer mark, with his hair flaring up in the manner of wavy sun-beams, unleashing a battle-roar fierce enough to make Guts proud and his Nichirin sword's cutting edge becoming molten orange as he overwhelms his opponent's durability.
    • Zenitsu manages to pull himself out of the rubble and trap Daki with a hidden trump card: Thunderclap and Flash: Godspeed—through which he slams through Daki at near-supersonic speeds, even coming through an inch of decapitating her himself. While he doesn't get to go through with it, it buys enough time for Inosuke—who reveals that he can shift his internal organs, having avoided a fatal heart stab from Gyutaro—to join him and slash from the opposite direction.
      • It should be emphasized that Inosuke, who is already profusely bleeding and badly injured, still had enough energy in him to catch up with Zenitsu's lightspeed technique. That is insane.
    • With all of the lads working together, Tanjiro, Uzui, Zenitsu, and Inosuke finally manage to defeat Daki and Gyutaro—cutting off their heads simultaneously.
    • Even in defeat, Gyutaro's headless body refuses to stand down—releasing a swarm of rotating blood slashes that levels multiple streets of Yoshiwara into rubble and ash. The carnage was so total (coupled with the fact that our beat-up heroes were caught in the middle of it) that the end credits just rolls through with a somber orchestra score.
  • Chapter 95\S3 E11: Nezuko is revealed to be capable of using her Blood Demon Art on any type of Demon attack, using it to burn away the poison inside Tanjiro, Inosuke and Tengen's bodies.
  • Before that, we get an anime-only scene where she nullifies the blood sickles raining down on her brother and allies by unleashing an exploding blood whirlwind that melts out of a safe zone at the epicenter of all the destruction. She seems to represent nothing less than the red rising sun of Japan's national flag.
  • Chapter 97: Kagaya notes that an Upper Moon was defeated for the first time in 113 years.

    Swordsmith Village Arc
  • Chapter 103: Muichiro's crow reveals that he is a descendant of the Sun Breathing users, meaning that he really is one of the strongest Hashira.
  • We get a first glimpse of Genya Shinazugawa as a Demon Slayer, and it is nothing short of badass.
    • Tanjiro is struggling mightily against a new opponent in the form of one of Hantenegu's clones, and is at the mercy of him. Then, the camera reveals Genya at the rooftop, followed by a clean aim from his shotgun piercing right through Sekido's neck and beheading him (albeit briefly before the latter regenerations). Who says you can only use swords as a Demon Slayer?
    • Genya can't use breathing styles unlike his comrades, so what does he do to make up for it? He eats Demons and temporarily gains their powers, being able to regenerate from his wounds rather quickly.
  • Genya has made it very clear to Tanjiro he wants to be a Hashira before him. How does Tanjiro respond? By showing his and Nezuko's full support, not even fazed or threatened by Genya's competitive determination. One could say Tanjiro is so pure and noble, even Genya recognizes this and can't help the fact that Tanjiro is really being honest and sincere, and only wants what's best for him.
  • Muichiro is the first Hashira to awaken the Demon Slayer mark during the fight against Gyokko.
    • Muichiro manages to defeat Gyokko by engulfing the forest they were fighting in the mist. This is doubly awesome because Muichiro becomes the first character in the series to Solo an Upper Moon, through a mix of sword skill, speed and misdirection.
    • This awesome line Muichiro delivers to Gyokko right before he slashes off his head.
      Muichiro: Hey so tell me...
      Gyokko: What?
      Muichiro: What made you think...
      Gyokko: Huh?
Muichiro: That you were the only one not taking this seriously?
    • Not only does Muichiro obliterate Gyokko, he shatters his pride just through his quips and unfazed reaction when the latter tries to show off and intimidate him.
  • The fight between Mitsuri and Zohakuten. After being rescued and encouraged by Tanjiro, she decides to go all out and battles Zohakuten, while he, Nezuko, and Genya find the main body of Hantengu. During the fight, Mitsuri becomes surprisingly stronger and faster, being able to keep up with Zohakuten's attacks, with the demon even confused about how she's gotten more stronger and faster. Then we see how: Like Muichiro, she too has awakened the Demon Slayer mark, making her the second Hashira to awaken it.
    • The anime adaptation enhances this moment even better, thanks to the wonderful Visual Effects of Awesome, voice acting, and the awesome music score accompanying this amazing and badass moment for our Love Hashira.
  • Haganezuka enduring a lot of pain throughout the entire battle thanks to his Heroic Build after his own training, polishing the blade found in the training dummy with a really complex technique, even when Gyokko attempted to break his focus and even taking out one of his eyes.
  • As Tanjiro hesitates to pursue Hantengu with Nezuko burning to death in the sunlight, Nezuko kicks Tanjiro toward Hantengu, forcing him to abandon her and save the smiths Hantengu is pursuing.
  • The Magistrate in Hantengu's past deserves a special mention here. The man was the one who captured the pathetic coward and even called him out for his lies and criminal acts. When Hantengu becomes a demon by Muzan, he goes after the Magistrate and is seen to be slightly injured. So how does he react? Does he beg for mercy to Hantengu? NO. Instead, he proudly stands his ground, continuing to call him out for his crimes, and even states that one day, he will pay for his sins. It's worth noting that most humans are afraid of demons. Yet, the Magistrate still remains defiant, refusing to cower in fear, pretty much insulting Hantengu to his last breath.
  • Nezuko devlops an immunity to sunlight, which is fatal to every other demon, including Muzan and which no demon has ever done before. She also regains the ability to speak.

    Hashira Training Arc
  • In Chapter 130, it's revealed that Sabito killed all the demons in the Final Selection Exam except the Hand Demon, and while he died against the latter, he was the only casualty of the exam. After a feat like that, it's unsurprising that Giyu feels inadequate in comparison.
  • The entire arc is a moment of awesome for the Demon Slayer Corps because of what it means. Master Ubuyashiki recognizes that the final battle is coming, and wants his Non-Hashira children to stand a chance in it. So he instructs every member of the Corps to undergo extreme training right from the top men and women in the organization just so the entire organization will be able to participate in the coming war.

    Dimensional Infinity Fortress Arc
  • Starting in Chapter 138, the situation is dire: Master Ubuyashiki is dead, the Hashira + Tanjiro are whisked away and trapped in the Infinity Fortress alone and without support and powerful demons are pouring in. You may think that the Demon Slayer Corps is doomed...only for the manga to reveal the master's son, Kiriya, has taken full command of the Corps and along with his sisters. Kagaya's true plan is revealed to have been weakening Muzan enough to justify pressing the assault on his home turf and wiping out every demon at once. In an awe-inspiring display of competence and leadership, the children are shown to be hard at work moving every slayer they can to the site of the battle, and directing their forces with minute-by-minute updates. Including using Yushiro's BDA to give the kasugi crows a telepathic link to map out Muzan's Castle.
  • Kiriya's protectors are shown to be none other than the former Hashira: Uzui Tengen, a repentant Shinjuro Rengoku and even Master Sakonji Urokodaki. These men are aware that this will be the final battle and will lay down their lives for the cause of destroying Muzan.
  • The end result of the trust Jigoro deposited on Zenitsu. While the boy felt he was a failure for not being able to learn the other five forms of the Thunder Breathing, and not measuring up to his allegedly stronger colleague, Kaigaku, fate had the two meet again on opposite sides. Zenitsu, against all odds, truly became a strong Demon Slayer by working hard the best he could with what he had, and what he had was one technique perfected to its limit, and he created a completely new technique no one would ever vouch that Zenitsu could pull off, and he did. Zenitsu defeated Kaigaku, asserting himself as the true successor of the Thunder Breathing.
  • In a flashback in Chapter 151, Tanjiro's father Tanjuro faces down a large bear that's 2.72 meters(just under nine feet) tall and had eaten six people. After giving it fair warning not to approach his family, Tanjuro decapitates the advancing beast upside down in mid flying leap with two swings of his hatchet to carve channels deep enough to take the whole neck, all in less than the blink of an eye, giving Tanjiro his first lesson about the Transparent World. Perhaps most amazing of all, Tanjuro managed this feat ten days before dying of his illness.
  • In Chapter 152, Tanjiro saves Giyu's life by cutting off Akaza's arm at the wrist, then manages to decapitate Akaza even after alerting Akaza to his presence. Giyu wasn't exaggerating when he concluded that Tanjiro was on par with the Hashira as of the start of the battle.
  • In Chapter 162, it turns out that Shinobu had been consuming wisteria poison with the aim of letting Doma eat her, thereby causing him to take a lethal dose of poison unintentionally, in the event that her normal methods of slaying proved ineffective. Kanao then uses the final form of the Flower Breathing style to put her sword to Doma's neck, and Inosuke then throws his swords, slicing off Doma's head. Considering that the three of them lost loved ones to Doma, this is quite possibly the best Karmic Death Doma could receive.
  • In Chapter 168, Sanemi's flashback reveals that he successfully killed several demons as a young man without breathing techniques or a Nichirin sword, simply by cutting off their limbs and burning them in sunlight. Later on, he, together with his friend Masachika, killed the Lower-1 of the Twelve Kizuki.
  • In Chapter 170, Himejima gives Kokushibo a rather effective Shut Up, Hannibal! when told that Demon Slayers with the Demon Slayer mark die before the age of 25, saying that those who become Hashira are prepared to die, and "are proud to live and die as human beings," which cuts especially deeply when you consider why Kokushibo became a demon. He then points out that Kokushibo lied and that there is someone who lived past 25 after acquiring the mark.
  • In Chapter 175, Muichiro manages to turn his Nichirin blade bright red while it's stuck inside Kokushibo, and then Genya uses his Blood Demon Art to sprout a tree with the flesh bullets he shot into Kokushibo, enabling Sanemi and Himejima to decapitate Kokushibo. This doesn't kill Kokushibo, but the strain of having to regenerate his head, combined with his Heel Realization after seeing his monstrous appearance, seals the fate of Muzan's strongest minion.
  • After Muzan dissipates Tamayo's poison and kills her in cold blood, Yushiro in retaliation proceeds to put in the work first by hijacking Muzan's control over Nakime, thereby gaining full control of the Infinity Fortress. He proceeds to broadcast a fake image of Obanai and Kanroji's deaths to Muzan, giving him a false sense of security while he actually transports them towards Tanjiro and Giyu as reinforcements. When Muzan catches on to the deception and kills Nakime, Yushiro uses what time she has left to force everyone outside to avoid being crushed underground while opening Muzan up for being destroyed in the morning sun. It can be said that Yushiro is the true MVP of the Infinity Fortress arc.
  • Yoriichi delivered a Curb-Stomp Battle to Muzan in the past, forcing the monster to self-destruct into 1800 pieces in order to escape. Yoriichi had terrified Muzan so much with that one encounter that Muzan refused to appear before Demon Slayers for centuries.

    Sunrise Countdown Arc
  • Tamayo created a drug that had four effects all designed to weaken Muzan, the first was to turn a demon human, if that didn't take the second effect would activate which would cause him to age fifty years a minute, while unknowingly the third would take effect preventing him from dividing. Once all three had activated the fourth would activate destroying his cells. Tamayo put a lot of thought into her revenge.
  • Chapter 198: After being briefly out of the final battle, Mitsuri appears and rips off freaking Muzan's long arms off solely with her physical strength.
  • During the final battle, all of the Demon Slayers are working together to prevent Muzan from escaping. One particular moment is when Goto and the Kakushi use Car Fu and drive a bunch of city cars into Muzan's giant baby form to slow down his movement.
  • Finally. After over 200 chapters, Muzan is finally killed! But unfortunately, at a great cost at the same time... However, in his dying throes, he ends up making Tanjiro his successor and it ends up working in his favor, at least for the next few chapters. Even after he is reduced to a literal baby, Muzan finds a way to go down fighting.
  • Chapter 202... can we all safely say that Chapter 202 is a Crowning Moment of Awesome for both Nezuko and Kanao?
    • Nezuko shows that she is most definitely Tanjiro's little sister when she jumps in the way of her demonized brother to prevent him from attacking Inosuke and to hug her now demon brother, causing his fangs to sink into her shoulder, and start begging him to stop and come back to them before he could kill anyone, trying everything she can do to her best. Even when Tanjiro let out a loud roar that created a large shockwave that knocked Zenitsu, Inosuke, and even Giyu away, she still clung onto her demon brother and endured the shockwaves created by his roar while she continues to beg him to stop. She even prevented him from using his Blood Demon Art by using her left hand to block it, causing him to miss at the cost of injuring her left hand. Yet despite this, she still cling onto Tanjiro and continue to tried everything she can do to bring him back to his senses!
    • Kanao then appears on the scene with the third and last human-turning medicine left in her hand and then pulls a Heroic Sacrifice to save Tanjiro by using her final form of Flower Breathing: Equinoctial Vermilion Eye to avoid and dodge his attack in order to inject the human-turning medicine into him before she succeeds to injecting the human-turning medicine into Tanjiro at the cost of her getting stabbed in the chest by him.
