- During the story arc where Curtis and his Mom were mugged and she suffers a miscarriage....before it happens (after the mugger punched her) she fights him off by giving an awesome kick to the groin!
- A 2000 arc in which Curtis' dad giving up smoking, which won Billingsley an award from the American Lung Association.
- In a more recent storyline, where Curtis gets the three bullies at his school arrested.
- Curtis finally has enough of Derrick and "Onion"'s bullying, and knocks their heads (plus the head of an third unnamed tormentor) together with a resounding KLUNK.
- After years of the status quo, Curtis finally mans up and gets to tell Diane that Barry finally did something worthy of punishment.
◊ - In an April 2015 arc, we learned that Curtis's father jumped into the path of an oncoming train to save a baby's life!
