• Skalman outsmarting Eragord and burning down the narcotic flowers in "The Wizard's Red Flower".
• In "The Three Swords" Bamse sets out to stop Luguber the Horrible and destroy his magic mirror. Even when he discovers that he ate normal honey by mistake he presses on, because he knows that he will only get one chance. He is offered the swords of Justice, Truth and Courage, but refuses every time and ultimately saves Luguber from falling into the pit of fire. Turns out that Luguber would only be defeated and the mirror destroyed by someone who said no to three swords and saved a foe. Bamse prevailed simply by being his awesome kind self.
