  • Reno proves very quickly that she won’t take crap from anyone when she instantly takes a priest down a peg for pulling a Holier Than Thou card.
  • When Billy is down in the dumps about his chances with Hope, Reno lifts his spirits by singing “You’re the Top”. She might not be able to be with him, but she’s gonna make sure he’s happy regardless. Gets even better when Billy joins in to raise Reno’s spirits in return.
  • While he’s mostly an incompetent Butt-Monkey, Moonface instantly solves Billy’s problem with Eli spotting him, pulling a quick and easy con to steal his glasses without Whitney ever realizing what happened.
  • Additionally, Moonface gets to put his tommy gun to good use, winning some prize money.
  • Erma's able to steal a disguise for Billy while simultaneously satisfying her own needs.
  • Evelyn manages to evade all of the schemes against him not through guile and cunning, but by just being a Nice Guy. The best instance of this is how he fearlessly talks down a gun wielding and thoroughly confused Moonface after shutting down all his extortion attempts.
  • Reno calling out Hope for denying her feelings for Billy. Doubly awesome given she still hasn’t quite gotten over him.
  • After a nice setup from Reno, Billy manages to successfully court Hope through his performance of “It’s Delovely”, resulting in a passionate and victorious duet and dance. Unfortunate it’s effect is undone in the very next scene.
  • The famous tap dance in Anything Goes, especially the extended and highly difficult choreography in the 2011 revival.
    • Especially in the Sutton Foster revival. There, Reno gets to pull out every single trick there is when it comes to tapping, and even then, after going on and on with exhausting choreography, she still manages to belt out the end.
  • In a reverse of the prior event, Reno calling Billy our for his treatment of Hope. Billy triez to deflect it by acting tough, but as soon as Reno mentions Hope wanting to marry him, she causes the facade To completely crumble.
  • Reno’s performance of “Blow Gabriel Blow” is a sight to behold. The song is Awesome Music both in and out of universe, causing everyone onstage to forget about whatever drama they’re going though and join in on all the singing and dancing. Not only that, it ultimately helps save the day, as seeing her at work is what causes Evelyn to completely fall for Reno, allowing both of our leads to get their happy endings.
  • Moonface’s performance of “Be Like the Bluebird” in the most recent revival. While it ultimately doesn’t help Billy, everyone’s favorite gangster gets a chance to show off his dancing, doing so alongside an actual bluebird (represented by a blue light), a great change to an otherwise fairly minor song.
  • Evelyn seducing Reno through his rendition of “Gypsy in Me”. Evelyn may be an Upper-Class Twit, but in just one number, he shows that he can go toe to toe with the Life of the Party, becoming a Mr. Fanservice who manages to successfully woo a stunningly sexy Dude Magnet so hard that she forgets all about being in love with Billy and falls for him instead. Just remember how long it took Billy to win over Hope, who was already in love with him. Evelyn won Reno’s heart with just a single song (although his prior interactions with her didn’t hurt). Even more awesome when you remember that he wasn’t even planning to seduce her until she asked about his past. He managed to do all that on the fly.
  • Moonface improvising a strip poker game to get Luke’s clothes, finally giving him another successful plot after so many failures throughout the show. Additionally, when John almost alerts the Purser, Reno is quick to knock him out before he can spoil her upcoming marriage.
  • Erma is apparently so good in the sack, that she gets an entire legion of sailors proposing to her. Pretty impressive when you remember she’s only been on that ship for four days.
  • While it’s undercut by the extreme Values Dissonance, Reno, Billy, and Moonface’s final Zany Scheme manages to actually work against all odds. What’s even awesome is Evelyn and Hope joining in as well, effectively getting each other out of their Arranged Marriage and into the arms of their real loved ones. Especially pronounced with Hope, who finally openly defies her mother’s wishes for the first time in the show.
  • It's entirely due to his Billy not being able to make a bad sell, but Eli becoming a zillionaire and getting the girl of his dreams (even if she is a Gold Digger) in quick succession certainly counts.
  • Credit to the crew of the ship for managing to keep it afloat amidst all the chaos. The Captain may be distracted by celebrities and the sailors may be distracted by sex, but somehow, they get the job done.
