"When in evening, ye say, it will be fair weather: For the sky is red."
— Matthew 16:2

  • The scene in the movie where a group of citizens jump into the fountain to help save the fourth Preferito - besides the antimatter explosion, it's considered by many fans as the best scene of the movie.
  • Even knowing he's an evil bastard, the Camerlengo's bit with flying the Antimatter into the sky and then parachuting to safety is unquestionably awesome.
  • The Camerlengo's plan is pretty awesome. He got to pose as a pragmatist who wanted to unite religion and science and therefore get everybody on his side. He used the high elector's ambition against him knowing that if the elector (who is the only one in the movie who seems to dislike him) had the chance to become Pope, he'd abandon his position thereby paving the way for the other Cardinals to nominate him as the new Pope. He even kept commenting on how thankless the job of high elector is. He used Langdon's knowledge of symbols to plant the idea of St. Peter's tomb by letting everyone (including Langdon) think Langdon was figuring everything out. He was also able to kill the assassin by hiring somebody the church used often because the assassin would let his guard down and trust that the church would want to use him again. He was a lowly priest but he managed to play every single party in the story to do exactly as he wanted.
