With the reboot celebrating the anime's anniversary, there are quite some awesome moments in making it stand out from the canon anime.

First Half (Prologue - Chapter X)

  • Just as Shu and Funeral Parlor defeated Guin and his forces, Guin unleashes a carnivorous dinosaur hybrid upon them. In kickstarting the reboot, Funeral Parlor is fighting the Fafnir rex as if the resistance are faring off something dangerous like the Indominus rex. Seeing Ayase's Steiner fending off the monster, up to Shu fighting back in eventually killing the dinosaur in a much brutal matter is a way to see one normal high school student growing nerves of steel.
  • The major divergence by the end of Chapter I shows Shu willingly joins Funeral Parlor and wanting to make a change to help Japan. It is something that the author must have been proud off.
  • Shu's mock battle with Ayase's Endlave is more challenging since the Steiner actively attempts to deliver blows, while Shu does his best to evade. Like in canon, Shu manage to use Argo's Void into good use in blinding the Steiner in darkness, and made it to the finishing goal of passing the test with flying colors.
  • Chapter III shows the reveal of Heath and Akiko unlocking their own Voids that pay tribute to the Legions from Astral Chain. Better yet, they are the first wielders that retain consciousness. Helping out Shu wielding Kenji's gravity gun Void against Endlaves, Heath and Akiko turn the tide in taking down the opposing mechs.
  • Chapter V demonstrates the moment that this is Ayase's first moment to shine. Ayase's Void is shown early that she wears, and in a manner of payback, she takes revenge against her mother's killer in the form of a giant spider and squashes her literally.
  • Chapter VIII shows the return of the Phantom Thieves after 23 years since the end of Persona 5. Though they are now the Phantom Remnants, they haven't lost their touch as they turn the tide quickly in overpowering Miss-danuki. The finisher shows Queen delivers the killing blow to the tanuki girl's face.
  • Chapter X despite being an intermission shows Inori using her monster form early against Mana and her crystallize garden. Inori is determined to protect Shu and her friends from Eve.
