• The survival of Barbara Jane Mackle, a young 20 year old was kidnapped and buried alive while she was recovering from an illness, how did she not come out traumatized by the experience? She dredged up all her self-preservation to "counting Christmas trees" like she did as a little girl to go to bed and willed herself to believe that she will spend Christmas with her friends and family. We see her wake up in her childhood bed very peaceful and satisfied and later gleefully decorating the Christmas tree.
