The Battle of Jedha is a Star Wars Expanded Universe full-cast audio drama in Phase II of the High Republic series by George Mann.

Tensions are running high on the planet on the holy planet of Jedha, where the Republic plans to host a peace conference between the warring twin planets of Eiram and E'ronoh, while Convocation of the Force has planned a Festival of Balance to the great discontent of many religious sects within the city's walls. The Jedi delegation overseeing the peace conference, led by Jedi Master Creighton Sun and Jedi Knight Aida Forte, soon find themselves mired in mystery and intrigue as unknown forces move in the shadows to disrupt the peace process, while an even darker presence puts itself in the path of the Jedi.

It was released on January 3, 2023. The script book will be published on February 14, 2023.

The Battle of Jedi provides examples of:

  • Bittersweet Ending: The bad news is that because of the multiple disruptions to the peace talks, the Eiram-E'ronoh war continues, having been brought to Jedha, the Mother and most of her followers escape from Jedha, and Tilson Graf's death means the Jedi have no way of proving who actually incited the conflict. The good news is that in spite of the Path of the Open Hand's attempts to tarnish the Jedi's reputation by secretly instigating the conflict, the Jedi end up looking better in the end due to prioritizing saving lives caught in the crossfire and quelling the battle with little (if any) casualties on both sides, and the Path itself takes a hit to the image it's trying to build for itself with the arrest of the Herald after he was caught inciting riots.
  • Call-Forward: A statue known as the Final Protector is bombed and toppled over by angry anti-Jedi rioters. This is the very same statue seen buried in the sand next to the Partisans' hideout in Rogue One.
  • Happy Ending Override: The ending of Convergence ended with the possibility of the Forever War between Eiram and E'ronoh finally coming to an end with the peace summit. However, as the flashbacks in Into the Dark showed that the two worlds were still in a bit of a strained relationship roughly a century later, this audio drama shows how those attempts to bring peace fall apart.
  • Peace Conference: Representatives from Eiram and E'ronoh are supposed to come together on Jedha, selected as neutral ground, and bring an end to the five-year war they have been engaged in. The conference itself is supposed to be quick, with the heirs to each world having already worked out the details and just need the representatives to sigh the documents. After multiple disruptions and attempts on their lives, Ambassador Tintak is seemingly murdered by an officer from Eiram which kicks off a battle between the soldiers each side brought along.
  • Pilgrimage: Jedi Master Silandra Sho comes to Jedha on one and thus finds herself in position to aid the investigation into the bombing of the peace treaty signing.
  • Sequel: To the three first entries of Phase II of the High Republic.
    • The peace conference arranged at the end of Convergence between Eiram and E'ronoh is getting ready to begin, with Creighton Sun and Aida Forte arriving with the delegations from those worlds.
    • The Path of the Open Hand decided to head to Jedha to appeal to the Convocation of the Force and spread word of their philosophy at the end of Path of Deceit, where the Mother also resolved to test out the Nameless on the Force-sensitive denizens of Jedha.
    • Lastly, Jedi Master Silandra Sho was planning on coming to Jedha for a pilgrimage in Quest for the Hidden City after dropping her Padawan Rooper off on Bahtu.
  • Simultaneous Arcs: The events of The Battle of Jedha take place concurrently with the High Republic comic series, which shows other portions of the battle. The scenes where the Herald riles up the crowd to riot and the Final Protector is toppled takes place within both series from different perspectives.
