Main Character George Kodama
Kaze No Yojimbo is a 25 episode TV series based on the classic film 'Yojimbo' that aired between october 2001 to march 2002The story follows a series of events involving rival crime Syndicates set in the small town of Kimujuku several years after a train theft.
George Kodama arrives in Kimujuku looking into a man called Genzo Araki. He quickly realises he isn't welcome but remains taking work from both Syndicates in hopes of uncovering information about Araki.
Tropes
- Action Girl: Sanae Araki, a shotgun weilding motorcycle riding Innkeeper.
- Always on Duty: George is constantly on the move and when he relaxs he makes it clear in dialogue he's ready for action at a moments notice.
- Bad Guy Bar: The Tonbo, from the very first episode where we see low level gangsters meeting there
- Clueless Mystery: The Train heist is the first thing presented when the show starts but we get almost no clues to the robbery or even it's connection to the current story until the second half of the series.
- Improbable Cover: George hides under a viewing platform to avoid shotgun fire in Episode 2 even though the area he's hiding in is in full view of the shooters vantage point
- Punched Across the Room: Every gang goon in this show is apparently made of paper because a single punch can send them flying
