"Boku Hoshi no Ko Poron, da you!"note

"Hoshi no Ko Poron" note was a comedic, short-lived anime series by Nihon Douga that originally ran from 1974-1975. It's focused on Poron, an alien who's a self-proclaimed "star child", whose job is to stop troublemakers from wreaking havoc upon others or save individuals from suffering particular hardships in a World of Funny Animals, where he's been shown to be friends with some of the inhabitants.
Each episode had two short cartoons, which were bridged together by the opening, titles, and ending cards.
Tropes include:
- Inflating Body Gag: In one episode, the wolf's punishment for his actions involves his body being inflated like a big, round balloon and flown like a kite.
- Limited Animation: Even for a seventies anime, the animation is rather stiff, what with some scenes being nothing but still frames or the occasional reused animation.
- Protagonist Title: The show is called "Hoshi no Ko Poron", after the name of the titular protagonist.
- Two Shorts: Every "episode" was comprised of 2 short cartoons.
